The Continuing War for Independence
The United States has survived many perilous times, and incurred damage at every turn. The most significant "change" was during the Southern war for independence. Some in the South called this the second war of independence. The South did not prevail in sustaining the original intent of the American Constitution, of sovereign free States consenting to the limits of Government...as long as Government stayed within those limits.
Americans are not Europeans. We do not like regulation. We do not like restraints. We do not like, and will not tolerate the excess of Government ruling over every detail of our lives for the illusive objective of "common good". Americans know that what is good for each individual is equally good for society. That is uniquely American; a belief that Government is not the master but the servant. Our Founding Fathers deliberately made it difficult to pass laws that effect all States, as they knew of the danger and excess of centralized Government power. Balance of power between three branches is an inefficient form of Government by design. Balance of power, due to those built in inefficiencies preserves freedom by denying absolute power to any tyrant. What endangers that freedom is a Congress and Judiciary that worships the annoited one like an imperial emperior. Once the emperior consolidates power, the allure is much like heroin. Once the tyrant tastes, he's hooked, and it takes blood and revolution to set things right.
The equal branches of Government need to reassert their authority to reestablish the limits of Government. Those limits, or walls, depends on Government branches asserting that authority and maintaining their independence. Likewise States, under the 10th Amendment, must assert their powers to limit the Federal Government. Local Government must in turn limit the power of States. The most power must be centered at the local level, which is closest to to people.
Why is Congress so out of touch with the people? The formulation for country has been tampered with by Progressive Presidents and Congress over our 200 year history. Abraham Lincoln, who centralized Federal authority, thumbed his nose at the Constitution and limits of Federal authority. Since that breach, the power of the Federal Government over States has grown to unmanageable levels.
Its been said by American leaders, to their shame, that America's strength is her diversity. That is the result of years of political correct progressive thinking. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our strength lies with the ideals of one concept....freedom. That I, as an individual, am free to succeed, free to fail, free to love, free to even hate, free to have any opinion or do anything that I please with one caveat....that my freedom doesn't trample the freedom of others. That works until the lawyers come in, and twist words around until they have no meaning at all. In a Democratic society, moral support provided by religion is critical for self Government. The retraints compelled by the All Mighty God, govern our relationships with fellow countrymen. Our first President said the same thing.
This fight for America's heritage will start with debate, but will ultimately end in blood and violence should the Democrat's continue this course. Obama is much like Lincoln, in his desire to be King...recognizing no limits to the power of the Presidency and the Congress. The third war of Indepedence always looms before us.

Dateline Scotland...It's cauld enough to freeze dere bonnie blue balls off our darlin prince.

Date: 13 March 2010
By Jenny Fyall
Met Office statistics reveal that only the winter of 1963 was colder than the temperatures in Scotland between December 2009 and February 2010.
And for northern Scotland it was actually the coldest since records began in 1914.
Mr. Pulitzer Prize winning ALGORE...any questions? If you do, perhaps you could ask Nobel Prize winning Barrack Hussein Obama...mmm...mmm...mmm.

A Different Kind of Communist Party...Odds and Ends
The fraud, waste, and abuse inside Obama's Simulus Package continues to astound me. Labeled as shovel ready projects, we are funding important projects such as the preservation of bug collections, cocaine for monkeys, and other such nonsense. I told you so. See Porkulus again, in the must see section of this website.
We conservatives must also decide whether or not we are going to continue to subsidize the UAW by purchasing GM automobiles. After our 401Ks were raped by this organization, and old GM stock rendered worthless, every Union member got a bailout and issued new GM stock. The rest of us, well...suck it up. The UAW continues to subsidize the Socialist Democrat Party, so if you buy GM, you're subsidizing Communism in the USA in my humble opinion. The direct Government attacks on Toyota are also interesting theater, if I were a conspiracy theorist.
Geert Wilders, the Dutch politician, is under siege in his own country. He is being place on trial for speaking out against the encroachment of Islam in his country. He is right. Europe is slowly being overrun by these seventh century neanderthals, and Geert on trial for expressing his views on the subject. European men over the centuries have become cowards and appeasers. As Churchill used to chide, they feed the alligator hoping it will eat them last. This type of thing is coming to a USA theater near you in the form hate crime legislation. If you speak out against illegal immigration or gay marriage, you might find yourself in jail. Geert Wilders is a hero. Europe is the socialist model our socialist President so admires.

Traditional Cristian Communities Have Rights Too, In Heaven and On Earth.

associating them with church doctrine is getting tiresome.
A Mr. Richard Easton expressed my sentiments on this subject:
" The real problem is the US mythology that religion and government can be
separated. Three propositions prove the point.
(1) All nations must have laws.
law, even administrative law, is enacted morality).
(3) All morality depends on beliefs that cannot be subjected to the
scientific method and are, thus, religious beliefs - even if they are
non-theistic.
So government is the process of legislating someone's religious beliefs. The
vital question is whose religious beliefs should underpin our law and
government?"
Community standards define the parameters of that particular communities
values. They are the 'center' of that community, which define an entire host
of limits, priorities, and values. The question is exactly the one Mr.
Easton poses above,."someone's" beliefs are always going to take precedence.
James Madison, a founding father, put it this way, "We have staked the whole
future of our new nation, not upon the power of government; far from it. We
have staked the future of all our political constitutions upon the capacity
of each of ourselves to govern ourselves according to the moral principles
of the Ten Commandments." - James Madison.
The dangers of so-called Christian fundamentalism touted by modern day
secular humanists to American government is a contemptible lie at best, and
hysterical nonsense at worst. Over two hundred years of American Christian
majorities have created the most free and tolerant society in the world. All
law has , as its underpinning, a code of morality . The vast majority (98
percent and I can prove it) of founding fathers were Christians, and our
founding documents ciited the Bible more than any other source. Most
expressed George Washington's sentiments, when he said in an speech in 1796.
"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity,
religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man
claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great
pillars of human happiness - these firmest props of the duties of men and
citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect
and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with
private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked, Where is the security
for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation
desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of
justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can
be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of
refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both
forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of
religious principle." - George Washington, Sept. 17, 1796
Once again, to discredit any community standard based on Christian morality
is a pathetic straw man, as all standards and laws are based on "someone's"
morality. Christian morality is as valid as anyone elses. What prefers one
over the other is democracy in action.
All law is based on an underpinning of "someone's" morality. My point is that Judeo-Christian morality is as valid as atheistic, agnostic, pagans, or any other. I think Judeo Christian principles are the foundation of western civilization and far superior to any other. In any case, the Constitution does not prefer one over the other.
Constitutional rights are violated for being inconvenienced due to a community standard.

RINO Treachery on the March....Again.

Our old pal Lindsay Graham is back to his old tricks. He has been making several trips to the White House to discuss… guess what? Immigration reform. Yes South Carolina, our favorite RINO is sharpening the knife to slip in the back of the Tea Party movement once the Senate Health Care plan is passed in the House. Remember when the President assured everyone that illegal immigrants would not receive subsidized healthcare? So, in comes the solution, make illegal aliens….well legal. Thank you Lindsay Graham, we thought the era of RINO bipartisanship and Democrat-lite politics were over.
My guess is our favorite RINO is in the pocket of the carpet bagging tourist industry on the South Carolina coast. Michael Steele, what say you about this new bit of treachery baking in the oven?
South Carolina Republicans, the ball is in your court. South Carolina Tea Partiers, you better get busy. With Lindsay working with Obama and Rahm, can ‘reach across the aisle’ McCain (McAmnesty) be that far behind? Once McAmnesty secures his race in Arizona, he'll be his old bi-partisan self. McCain has managed to temporarily shut his wife up on supporting gay marriage (and his progressive skanky daughter), but the dam will burst after the 2010 election. Maybe the rumors about Lindsay are...nah.
See short snipet on Fox here.

9-11 Truthers...Idiots Without a Cause

What is it about the independent movement that careens between Constitutional rationality and insanity? Case in point, the 9-11 Truther movement. This is the group of tin foil hatters who believe that the attack of 9-11 was a Government inside job.
This is the foil that destroyed Debra Medina's momentum in the Texas Governor's primary, a promising young conservative women (story below), who tripped over this madness during a Glenn Beck radio interview while responding to a question. When she stated these Truthers may have legit concerns in her answer, she stepped on a political land mine that enervated growing support for her candidancy. What Debra meant to say, was that people in general have the right to question the Government. However, she later recanted and refined the response, a little too late, that the entire Truther proposition that our Government attacked their own citizens was entirely bizarre.
Why do these Truthers, found to inhabit fringe sites run by Alex Jones, persist in their idiotic views? I don't know. Reason does not work with these people, as this seems to be a cult, a religion, and chasing this ridiculous theory is much like Captain Ahab's fixation with Moby Dick. It is a cognitive dissonance, where they complain evidence of Government complicity was its failure to take any action to stop the attack...while in the same breath they bitterly complain about any follow-on measure to stop the next attack (i.e. the Patriot Act). Apparently 9-11 was a Globalist plot to create the excuse to establish martial law in the United States. However, nine years after 9-11...martial law has not been declared. So, did the plot fail?
While Truthers wallow in the insanity of the plot that didn't work, they ignore the socialistic take over of banks, car companies, energy companies (cap and trade), and the entire health care industry. Who needs marshal law, when the Government under the Obama regime is taking over all means of production...in plain sight.
To the Ron Paul Truthers, please take off the tin foil hats....as 9-11 serves a distraction to what the Globalists are really doing right in front of you. Wise up. Below are the best 1 minute videos I've seen to debunk all of the main assertions of these dingleberrys. If you know a Truther, please give them these links.

A Different Kind of Communist Party- Democrat Health Care
Barrack Hussein Obama...mmm...mmm...mmm, has completed his health care summit with the Republicans at Blair House. This was his answer to transparency in Government...finally C-SPAN covering the negotiations. I actually wanted to see his negotiations with the SEIU and UAW. That would have been far more interesting to watch. Now that BO has done his obligatory photo op to create the illusion of bi-partisanship, he is now free to use reconciliation to ram this health care abortion down our throats. I can only hope the arrogance on display during this event will force the American public to kill this bill in the House of Representatives. Get on the phone folks, the Commies are dancing.

Poor Wilber Is Changing His Views On Debra Medina- Again

Gingrich-Better Than I Have Ever Seen Him. I call this the "To Arms" speech.
This is a very inspiring speech. Although the starts a little slow, it has a powerful conclusion. No matter how you feel about the Newt, you cannot help but get a large lump in your throat from listening to what I think is the best I've ever heard out of the former Speaker.
Pelosi- A Horrible Women...Said on CNN?
I'm must have missed this...but Cafferty on CNN actually criticized Nancy Pelosi for her December trip to Copenhagen to attend the Global Warming conference. She used three military jets and spent millions in taxpayer money take her friends on a European vacation during the worst recession in many years. Next time Pelosi comments about how much she cares about the American people...I hope they remember this outrage.

Homosexual Marriage...Not in Texas
Heterosexual marriage does not simply involve procreation, but provides healthy families that will raise balanced children who will eventually become patriotic taxpaying citizens. Without balanced children growing up to adulthood, the State would not exist. Since Europe has already bought into the Gay marriage agenda, and has failed to endorse and encourage strong heterosexual families, their not even replacing themselves. When the State redefines marriage to mean ‘anything goes’, young heterosexuals in Europe have changed attitudes about marriage and are no longer interested in engaging in long term relationships (or producing healthy children) as the societal norm. Sure, they continue to be interested in sex, and occasional have procreation accidents, which is what keeps the abortion mills in the business of killing children before they draw their first breath. Look at the Hollywood culture today…I rest my case.
In California, who has bought into the “gay” agenda, is a collapsing mess,…economically, structurally, and morally. We in Texas are trying to preserve American traditional values, and insure those values are preserved. Licensed marriage by the State of Texas is not about LOVE, unless someone can show me in the law where loving your partner is a requirement. The legal requirement is that you have to be of legal age and opposite sex. Some arguments that childless couples should not be allowed to be married are completely feckless. That cannot be defined in any reasonable sense, as childless couples adopt and/or medical science provides solutions so they might have their own children. In both cases, the child has the best environment to thrive, with both a Mother and a Father. Older couples who marry provide good examples and roll models for younger child bearing heterosexuals, so it helps establish a healthy social order…so it still benefits the State.
Finally, homosexuality is a psycho-sexual disorder, just like pedophilia, necrophilia, bestiality, cross dressing, etc, and a ever increasing long list of sexual deviate behaviors. Homosexuality was removed from this list by fiat in 1973. Political pressure (as it is today) was brought to bare against the American psychologist and psychiatrist association not by a scientific evaluation, but by a show of hands (a vote). Of course, this group met in San Francisco, so what more can I say. Now the pedophiles in the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) are trying to get pedophilia legalized. Homosexuality is not a gene, birth defect, or anything that can be identified scientifically. This science is much like the recently debunked man-made global warming hoax. In this case, the data was cooked. In the case of homosexuality, there was no supporting data at all (click HERE for more info). Homosexuality is an identity and lifestyle. Homosexuality is a proclivity like many other things. Homosexuality is a psychological disorder. Whatever, it should never be licensed in the State of Texas. God save Texas.

Poor Wilber Is Changing His Views On Debra Medina
Debra Medina is running for Governor of Texas, and self-destructed on the Glenn Beck program on Friday, when she was asked if she supported the 9-11 Truthers (listen here). Then, she follows up with more stupidity the following day (the video above). In this follow-up, she continues to say she is going to 'Champion" the right of others (Truthers) to question their Government (with insane, ridiculous, assertions). Don't get me wrong, questioning the Government and maintaining a healthy degree of skepticism at everything they do is important. But to waste time and energy on this kind of kooky stuff is beyond the pail.
To my great dismay, she didn't say to Glenn Beck when he asked the question..."of course not Glenn, are you crazy, I'm no stink'in Truther"? Did she do that....No....Miss Debra said that she doesn't support those Truther views, but thinks they have some legitimate argument that needs to be vetted. WTF?
OK Debra, then do you feel that way about the American Nazi Party, Communist Party USA, or our friends at NAMBLA. Any crazy organization in America is going to get a seat at your table? Needless to say, I am discouraged and dismayed that I may have to shift my support back to Rick Perry. Holy batshit, Batman.
After the Beck interview, I also found out she was rumored to have worked on the Ron Paul campaign. Now theres a bunch of coconuts, almost as wacky as the Ralph Nadar Greens and his band of Eco warriors. What in the hell was Debra Medina thinking? I'm so pissed off...that I invested in this campaign, and now learn my candidate may be some sort of a nut.
I've been on her Facebook page trying to get to the bottom of this, and I've been confronted by Truthers, Ron Paul memes, MoveOn.org and DNC operatives, and people in plain denial over this issue. If these are the voices advising Ms. Medina, she's finished. She needs to denounce the Truther movement in a strong way...and get that out now in a press release. The liberal media is picking up on this controversy, and they're piling in on her side because she looks more like a Libertarian than a Republican to them. The entire world has gone mad.

Things Going On I Don't Like
I am also very concerned about Sarah Palin’s support of John McCain in his bid for re-election in Arizona. If John were a more honorable politician, he would retire. However, I disagree with those who say Sarah owes John something. John McCain put Sarah on the ticket for his own benefit, not too help Palin. He knew he needed to energize the enervated conservative GOP base, and that’s exactly what Sarah Palin did. Palin ought to have great resentment towards McCain campaign strategists (i.e. Steve Schmidt) who rolled Sarah out into an L shaped ambush designed by Democrat cheerleaders Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson. Holy batshit Batman, that was the dumbest thing I think I’ve ever witnessed. McCain did his part as well, by delivering two terrible debate performances …not to mention his stubborn refusal to attack Obama where he was most vulnerable. Who can also forget his campaign suspension (with great fanfare) to only go back to Washington to vote for TARP…both supported by the unpopular Bush and his political opponent, Barack Hussein Obama. Without the fire of Sarah Palin, the McCain campaign would have replicated the previous Bush I and Bob Dole campaigns…both two big yawns. Sarah should say goodbye to John, and leave him on his own to defend his Maverick rejection of conservative principles over the years.
I hate to keep picking on Sarah, but she should also reconsider going to Texas and campaigning for Rick Perry. Perry is much like McCain, in that he is a conservative when he campaigns, but governs like a liberal or a Rockefeller Republican. Perry is hell bent on building a network of toll roads through Texas, and turning management over to foreign companies. These toll roads would require eminent domain confiscation of private property, and has been a hotbed of controversy in Texas. Perry efforts were squashed by the legislature, but he remains determined. Perry additionally tried to force Texas school girls to take the Guardisil injections as a requirement to enter public schools. Parents in Texas rightly saw this as Government intrusion on their parental rights, and the measure was rejected by the legislature. Perry again was unapologetic. Sarah Palin should back off her commitment to campaign for Perry, and throw her support behind Debra Medina. Medina, a nurse, a small business owner, is gaining a great deal of support inside the Texas Tea Party movement. Medina is not a professional politician, is more conservative than Perry, and is much more compatible with Palin’s views on government.

High Taxes - Hybrid Socialism - The End of Abundance

Socialism's allure to the 'poor man' is also its fatal flaw. Socialism, like the fool that kills the golden goose to loot the gold that must be inside...only finds the organs and guts of an ordinary goose.
The allure of Socialism from a politician's perspective is really simple, in that if you rob productive Peter to pay unproductive Petra, Paul, and Mary... you'll always have the unwavering support of unproductive Petra, Paul, and Mary. Look at the recent vote in Oregon to tax the rich. The rich right now can leave Oregon, and they will eventually. New businesses will avoid Oregon, because it is hostile to entrepreneurs. As I understand it, many businesses and wealthy are leaving California today...which will further erode its tax base. If Hussein Obama's, Pelosi's, and Reid's Socialistic policies are spread nationally, there will be nowhere left to go....and the idea of America dies.
When Socialism grabs more and more of income, it collapses under its own weight (i.e. USSR) as the motivation to produce dies in the culture. The economic collapse just takes longer in hybrid versions of Socialism found in Europe, Canada, and now in the USA.
Hybrid socialism doesn't kill the golden goose immediately, but it take most of the goose's feed corn so she produces fewer and fewer 'golden' eggs to feed the masses. Socialism is the end of abundance, which builds naturally as free men in a free market strive to improve their lot in life.

Quote Of The Week - From the LA Times, no less!
strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office.
I'm not bragging, you understand, but no other state even comes close.
When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington, we're number one.
There's no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of
Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a
cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth'.
The three of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of
speech.
You don't know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply
marvel at their ability to form words."

Gays In The Military - Bring Your Kevlar Butt Shields - or One More Trip Over Brokeback Mountain.
BO, predictably in his first SOTU speech, offered to remove any restraint to 'open' gayness in the US military. Why then do we need to have male and female bathrooms and showers? To force heterosexuals to live communally with homosexuals with only the UCMJ to keep order is foolish. If an openly gay person is outted, it creates the potential for all types of harassment charges inside a sometimes close and intimate living situation. Under the current policy, at least the illusion of normalcy is maintained. If it (the UCMJ) is sufficient for maintaining good order and discipline, then why separate men and women at all ? Mr. President, why don't you take a shower with our Gay friends, and rethink this whole thing. Our military is designed to protect the country, and is not some uber liberal social engineering trial balloon. This will create all kinds of social problems that commands will have to deal with and adds costs to already overstressed DoD budgets to support dependent lesbian and gay lovers of rump rangers and muff divers in every branch of service.
Progressives are as dangerous as Islamic radicals we are fighting, one wants to kill us, the other to disarm us. I can't get the potential image of two male homosexuals in dress blues close dancing at the next Infantry Ball.

McCain Should Step Down

I was glad to see and hear most Republicans in the leadership restrained themselves from doing "end zone" dances. Scott Brown's victory was not a GOP victory by no means.
Most Democrats and still a few die hard Rockefeller Republicans still don't get it. I'm not sure even Scott Brown fully understands it, and perhaps was just as surprised by his success. Mr. Brown apparently didn't follow the sage advice of Republican strategists, who claimed after 2006 that the Party needed to move "left" to win. If anything, his victory debunks that line of thinking.
As Conservatives survey the political landscape, I don't think we collectively are automatically going to pull the GOP lever. We learned the hard way that an "R" by the candidate is no guarantee you're going to get Conservative governance.
I have concerns, as we get into the 2010 campaign season, that Republican candidates like John McCain or Lindsay Graham understand that all is not forgiven. These GOP'ers were largely responsible for the downfall of the Republican Party in 2006 and 2008. Whether it was McCain-Feingold Campaign reform (recently overturned by the SCOTUS), McCain Kennedy Immigration reform, GOP legislation increasing the size of Government and entitlements, all of these things were part of that sad legacy. Compassionate conservatism was the cracked pot that lead to a substantial growth in the Federal Government and associated deficits. How can we easily forget the Bush administration's prosecution of two border agents for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler in the ass, or its failure to secure the border?
Sarah Palin, who plans to help John McCain campaign for his Senate seat, needs to rethink that strategy. I wish John McCain himself would rethink it. What is it about power that all of these aging Senators refuse to leave office (unless carried out in a casket)? John McCain needs to move aside and make room for a younger Conservative with new ideas. John McCain should step down, and Arizona find another Scott Brown to replace him. Please John, don't run. We don't need you in the Senate.

Will Massachussetts Host Their Second Tea Party in Our History?

EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT OF THE FIRST BOSTON TEA PARTY.....
George Hewes was a member of the band of "Indians" that boarded the tea ships that evening. His recollection of the event was published some years later. We join his story as the group makes its way to the tea-laden ships:
"It was now evening, and I immediately dressed myself in the costume of an Indian, equipped with a small hatchet, which I and my associates denominated the tomahawk, with which, and a club, after having painted my face and hands with coal dust in the shop of a blacksmith, I repaired to Griffin's wharf, where the ships lay that contained the tea. When I first appeared in the street after being thus disguised, I fell in with many who were dressed, equipped and painted as I was, and who fell in with me and marched in order to the place of our destination.
The Boston Tea Party
When we arrived at the wharf, there were three of our number who assumed an authority to direct our operations, to which we readily submitted. They divided us into three parties, for the purpose of boarding the three ships which contained the tea at the same time. The name of him who commanded the division to which I was assigned was Leonard Pitt. The names of the other commanders I never knew. We were immediately ordered by the respective commanders to board all the ships at the same time, which we promptly obeyed. The commander of the division to which I belonged, as soon as we were on board the ship, appointed me boatswain, and ordered me to go to the captain and demand of him the keys to the hatches and a dozen candles. I made the demand accordingly, and the captain promptly replied, and delivered the articles; but requested me at the same time to do no damage to the ship or rigging. We then were ordered by our commander to open the hatches and take out all the chests of tea and throw them overboard, and we immediately proceeded to execute his orders, first cutting and splitting the chests with our tomahawks, so as thoroughly to expose them to the effects of the water.
In about three hours from the time we went on board, we had thus broken and thrown overboard every tea chest to be found in the ship, while those in the other ships were disposing of the tea in the same way, at the same time. We were surrounded by British armed ships, but no attempt was made to resist us.
...The next morning, after we had cleared the ships of the tea, it was discovered that very considerable quantities of it were floating upon the surface of the water; and to prevent the possibility of any of its being saved for use, a number of small boats were manned by sailors and citizens, who rowed them into those parts of the harbor wherever the tea was visible, and by beating it with oars and paddles so thoroughly drenched it as to render its entire destruction inevitable."
Now, if Massachusetts could discover again the ability to resist the unfairness the Democrats have unleashed....crafting legislation without open representation. Criminals do their work behind closed doors as well.

Why Should Iowa Decide...Again?
I can't stand the thought of another squishy neo-con who campaigns like George Wallace, but votes like George McGovern when he or she gets to Washington. If Micheal Steele is serious about listening to the Tea Party movement, then we need to start thinking about how we are going to keep independents and Democrats from deciding who the nominee is going to be. I'm talking about the foolishness of open primaries. The next primary, every Obama voter is going to vote in GOP primaries to nominate the most repugnant candidate (to Conservatives) in the field. We need a conservative populist, and one not too eager to reach across the aisle to sell out the people who worked so hard to put them in office.
Mitt Romney is an undependable conservative and certainly no populist. Tim Pawlenty is not a populist, and mostly a moderate. Ronald Reagan was a conservative and populist. Mike Huckabee is a conservative and populist. Sarah Palin is a conservative and populist. If we are going to win in 2012, we will need a populist. More importantly, we need a principled conservative.. Iowa should not decide. New Hamphire should not decide. Open primaries need to be closed to Republican voters. Why does the GOP establishment hate conservative populists? Who knows, but when they select big Government moderates like John McCain, they sink like a battleship.
