There is a difference between the Wall Street investment class and mid to small businessmen. The stockmarket reflects growth of international companies, and earnings from foreign shores. The stockmarket can be high, while US unemployment and economic stagnation enduring. What many misunderstand, are the differences between the investment class managing earnings and losses inside portfoliosm, and businessmen trying to survive under the assault of the EPA, Obamacare, new Federal Income Taxes, and dealing with noncompetive Union wages. In addition, businessmen are paying rising State and Local taxes and headwinds of endless regulations imposed at that level. All this is a minefield of risk, and businessmen are finding negotiating it isn't worth it. So, no one is building businesses or expanding their workforce. Even GM (Government Motors) is building vehicles in China for that market, so that means less growth in US plants and US exports.
Warren Buffet specializes in tax shelters, which is why he is all for taxing the so-called rich. Obama's tax policy drives huge amounts of capital into Buffet's coffers. Other analysts said the stock market was also being lifted by investors moving funds out of bonds and into stocks, as a result of bond yields falling. The stock market also rose in 2007, and there was no reason for it. History repeating itself.

Thought of the Day
Why is it so much more 'holy" for secular humanists to impose their views on religious people? Why don't we do neither, and call this freedom?
Obamacare Revisited
This HHS action is exactly what Obamacare proponents were saying all along (while the Obama regime denied it), that the ACA removes religious liberty.
Allowing employers to offer limitations based on their conscience and faith, does not hinder or stop employees from pursuing additional coverage on their own, paying the modest cost themselves, or finding an new employer that covers these things. That status quo hinders no ones liberty.
The Obama regime is simply trying to divide the opposition to make it easier to steamroll the remaining few opponents (by giving exceptions to some, but not all). Later in the campaign, they'll continue to destroy individual liberty with this relentless "progressive" socialist grinding wheel.
After religious liberty and the right to self defense is shredded, they'll come after free speech against their political opponents. They're doing it right in the open, and the media is in the tank making the case...i.e., that all this is for our "own good". It is not American, to trust Government. Our founders didn't, and our system of Government was designed to make it difficult for Government to impose its will on the American people. Please remember, centralizing authority in Washington IS NOT an American idea, but one born of monarchies, dictatorships, and Europeon or Soviet style socialism. A true American is ALWAYs skeptical of Government, and would never increase its power over individual liberty, regardless of any good intention.
Jefferson told us to not speak of good men, but to bind them with the chains of the Constitution. When I say wake up, don't hide in third party movements. To oppose these Marxists, we've got to unite regardless of the differences we have. I'm talking to RINOs in particular, as the establishment Republican's campaign to purge conservatives from party leadership must stop. You must incorporate conservative views as an important part of the platform moving forward. Otherwise, the GOP is nothing but cold poridge.

Stolen Integrity
Republicans and Democrats certainly have contributed to run away spending, but how dare they even insinuate Conservatives had anything to do with it. Those who say Republicans and Conservatives are synonymous are badly misinformed or openly dishonest.
Big Government, trying to solve every social ill known to mankind is the problem. This penchant of Government to centralize power for the greater good has led many of these imperial regimes to epic collapse. Once Government socializes costs, the tyranny begins as freedom wanes. How anyone can believe that one mind one solution (aka Big Government) can replace the ingenuity of millions of minds and millions of solutions working simultaneously to resolve man's most urgent needs.... is beyond me. Centralized imperial government puts a stop to all of that, and always has.
Conservatives have NEVER had any part of this.

Secession
......"had I known all that has come to pass, had I known what was to be inflicted upon me, all that my country was to suffer, all that our posterity was to endure, I would do it all over again.''

Obama is a Socialist
Thomas Peterffy grew up in Socialist Hungary, immigrated to the US and became a successful broker. He knows first hand that Socialism robs individuals of their economic liberty and initiative to work and achieve.

Will Race Ever Never Matter?
The issue of race will never disappear. Its become an industry in the US. What perpetuates this industry is the fact that only non-whites can have a racial identity in this country. Non-whites, under the double standard, can form racially biased companies, TV channels, organizations, or even offer academic curriculum in our finest institutions. These same activities would otherwise be deemed racist for whites. Until this industry is directly criticised, and no longer tolerated, race baiting will continue to be a problem in the country.
If we no longer tolerate the KKK, then why do we continue to tolerate Black Entertainment TV, NAACP, La Raza (the race), or any organization that only promotes the racial identity of one group? These organizations are even squabbling, as Cubans and African American groups are arguing over exclusion in the Miami mayor's race. Isn't it about time we said goodbye forever to race?

Really?
Obama just can't miss an opportunity to place himself as the centerpiece of all history, past, present, and future. Obama'a pictorial tribute to Neal Armstrong...of himself. Forward.

When the Economy Finally Collapses
How surprised public unions will be, along with federal and military retirees when there is no money to pay their pensions. How so very surprised will Social Security and Medicare recipients be when there is no money to issue checks, or reimburse medical expenses. All could have been fixed, with bold and quick action. Everyone willing to make some sacrifices for the greater good. But it won't happen, because nearly 50% of the country is drawing a Government benefit of some kind. They'll ignor the fact the horse they're riding is lathered and ready to collapse, and they'll dig the spurs deeper, and raise the whip higher. How surprised the Soviets were as well.....when the horse they rode so long and so hard finally fell beneath them.

Social Security and Medicare Are Socialized Charities
The problem with social security and Medicare is that its socialized charity. People on average draw far more out of both than they ever put in, due to rising HC costs and extended life expentency. The sooner we ditch both, the sooner we can return to a sane free market.
I'm still old enough to remember that we used to have insurance only for hopitalization and major surgery. Now you need it to make an appointment with a doctor without going to an ER. Just when in the hell did that happen? We used to be able to afford routine care on a cash basis, until States started requiring insurance companies to cover everything from abortion pills to viagra.
Since the consumer doesn't pay directly, costs have gone out of control, and insurance premuims are bankrupting us. The only ones getting rich are big pharma and insurance companies that made the deal with the Devil, Obama, Reid, and Pelosi. These companies are shearing us like sheep now on the national level, thanks to Obama.
Heres what we do:
1. Repeal Obamacare (and Romneycare) and allow competition between States to buy insurance in any package the consumer wants or can afford.
2. Allow consumers to purchase drugs/prescriptions from any country.
3. Pass rational tort reform so scum sucking ambulance chasers don't add to overhead.
4. Enforce our immigration laws, to remove illegals and discourage others from using our health care system on a pro bono basis.
5. Start moving younger people out of Government run SS and Medicare using generous tax free deductions to IRAs, 401Ks, and Health Savings Accounts.
6. Instead of teaching how to put on a condom, schools need to teach finance and money management and how to save for their future and retirement. In my experience, people learn this to late in life to make much of a difference. We should be a nation of savers and investors, and that is what we should teach our children again....instead of communism.

Stop Using "Class Warfare".
Referring to "Class" anything is a Marxist term, and Republicans shouldn't repeat it.
What Obama is doing is pitting American against American, and failing to unite the country to rebuild the economy. We need to lower and broaden the tax system, whether its the fair tax, or flat tax, or some combination inbetween.
Republicans need to drop the "class warfare" phrase-ology like a plague. We do not, and I repeat we DO NOT have a class system in the United States. Wise up, candidates and GOP. Stop using Marxist rhetoric, or it will blow up in your face. Your income level does NOT put you into a CLASS

Rick Perry...Is He a Conservative.?
I think Rick Perry has conservative views on capital punishment, taxes, and abortion. However, I have grave concerns about his Democrat past. He certainly can never claim to be a former Reagan Democrat, as he stood against President Reagan twice. After the disaster that was the Jimmy Carter first term, Perry stood with Carter for a second bite at the apple.
After President Reagan's first term, Perry stood against him again as part of the "Walter Mondale for President" campaign in Texas. As though that wasn't enough, he ran against Reagan's Vice President Herbert (George) Bush as Albert Gore's campaign manager.
I still don't appreciate or understand why, even in 2008, that Perry endorsed one of the most socially liberal candidates in the race, Rudy Giuliani. In his governance of Texas, he stubbornly stood against parental rights by writing an edict (executive order) to inject Gardisil (a anti-cancer vaccine) into twelve year old school girls. Gardisil only "worked" if the girls were sexually active. It took the State Legislature to write and pass a bill to turn off Perry's executive order. Despite parental outrage, Perry refused to recind his order.
The Texas corridor, the eminent domain confiscation of rancher land to hand over to a foreign company to build a toll road is another debacle Perry led. Once again, the Legislature turned him back. So much for private property rights.
Rick Perry also signed the Texas version of the Dream Act providing in-State tuition to illegal alien children (who meet specific requirements), and he continues to NOT support a fence on the border. The Texas Dream act is another one of those pieces of Legislation that acts as a magnet for illegal border crossers, and unfenced borders are easily crossed.
The history of Rick Perry certainly shows that he is stubborn. This is a trait that reminds me of our former President Bush, in terms of his lack of willingness to change the strategy in Iraq (i.e. stay the course). Perry is weak on border issues, is conflicted on eminent domain (for profit), conflicted on the issue of parental rights, and hasn't yet explained how his conservative epiphany came about after fighting the election and re-election of Ronald Reagan.
As Sarah Palin said, we need not worry so much about replacing Barack Obama, but "who and what we are replacing him with".

The Gold Standard
I'm not an expert on currency. I do know that when we were on the gold standard, an American citizen couldn't legally own gold bullion. In 1933 Franklin D. Roosevelt made it illegal for any person in the United States to own hoards of gold. The ban was not lifted until legislation was signed in 1974 by President Gerald Ford. There likely isn't enough gold to run our economy, so what would our country do if there wasn't a sufficient supply of gold backed currency to run multi billion dollar companies and pay salaries of millions of employees?
I've always wondered what makes gold valuable in the first place. You can't eat it, plant it, or shoot it (well, you could mold it into bullets). In a financial collapse, I would rather own agricultural land, non-modified seed, a plow, a good mule, firearms, and plenty of ammo. So, whats so great about gold? Pieces of cardboard (called baseball cards) are sometimes more valuable. Maybe we should turn to baseball cards to back our currency?
I also find it amazing that sellers of gold tell us that gold may double in value, yet are willing to sell me their valuable gold for my worthless paper currency. I just don't get that....it doesn't compute. If the brokers thought what they were advertising were true, why wouldn't they hang on to their gold and double their fortunes? I don't know folks, you tell me.
