Palin's Version of Paul Revere was RIGHT, Exactly Right

Palin's description of the events of Paul Revere's midnight ride was perfectly correct. Let the historical record speak for itself:

"A townsman remembered that 'repeated gunshots, the beating of drums and the ringing of bells filled the air.'.... Along the North Shore of Massachusetts, church bells began to toll and the heavy beat of drums could be heard for many miles in the night air." "

Paul Revere’s own account of his warning to the British that night:

I observed a Wood at a Small distance, & made for that. When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back,and orderd me to dismount;-one of them, who appeared to have the command, examined me, where I came from,& what my Name Was? I told him. it was Revere, he asked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up. He imediately rode towards those who stoppd us, when all five of them came down upon a full gallop; one of them, whom I afterwards found to be Major Mitchel, of the 5th Regiment, Clapped his pistol to my head, called me by name, & told me he was going to ask me some questions, & if I did not give him true answers, he would blow my brains out. He then asked me similar questions to those above. He then orderd me to mount my Horse, after searching me for arms.

Things Going On I Don't Like

So-called Conservatives making arguments for open "gayness" in the military. Let me state for the record, there is no "Conservative" view of open gayness or gay marriage. What this is actually, is rhetoric from social liberals that happen to hold some fiscal conservative positions. This is the kind of garbage spread by the likes of Cindy McCain (and her skank daughter), Margret Hoover, Lynn Chaney, and other so-called liberal Republicans. There is no "conservative" position on open homosexuality in the military (or so-called "gay" marriage), only liberal ones. At least be honest. Social conservatives believe marriage should be between a man and women, and open homosexuality in the military is counter productive to good order and discipline. There is no Constitutional right to serve in the military. That’s what Conservatives believe, so let there be no confusion.

I am also very concerned about Sarah Palin’s support of John McCain in his bid for re-election in Arizona. If John were a more honorable politician, he would retire. However, I disagree with those who say Sarah owes John something. John McCain put Sarah on the ticket for his own benefit, not too help Palin. He knew he needed to energize the enervated conservative GOP base, and that’s exactly what Sarah Palin did. Palin ought to have great resentment towards McCain campaign strategists (i.e. Steve Schmidt) who rolled Sarah out into an L shaped ambush designed by Democrat cheerleaders Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson. Holy batshit Batman, that was the dumbest thing I think I’ve ever witnessed. McCain did his part as well, by delivering two terrible debate performances …not to mention his stubborn refusal to attack Obama where he was most vulnerable. Who can also forget his campaign suspension (with great fanfare) to only go back to Washington to vote for TARP…both supported by the unpopular Bush and his political opponent, Barack Hussein Obama. Without the fire of Sarah Palin, the McCain campaign would have replicated the previous Bush I and Bob Dole campaigns…both two big yawns. Sarah should say goodbye to John, and leave him on his own to defend his Maverick rejection of conservative principles over the years.

I hate to keep picking on Sarah, but she should also reconsider going to Texas and campaigning for Rick Perry. Perry is much like McCain, in that he is a conservative when he campaigns, but governs like a liberal or a Rockefeller Republican. Perry is hell bent on building a network of toll roads through Texas, and turning management over to foreign companies. These toll roads would require eminent domain confiscation of private property, and has been a hotbed of controversy in Texas. Perry efforts were squashed by the legislature, but he remains determined. Perry additionally tried to force Texas school girls to take the Guardisil injections as a requirement to enter public schools. Parents in Texas rightly saw this as Government intrusion on their parental rights, and the measure was rejected by the legislature. Perry again was unapologetic. Sarah Palin should back off her commitment to campaign for Perry, and throw her support behind Debra Medina. Medina, a nurse, a small business owner, is gaining a great deal of support inside the Texas Tea Party movement. Medina is not a professional politician, is more conservative than Perry, and is much more compatible with Palin’s views on government.

McCain Should Step Down

I don't know about you, but I'm still recovering and synthesizing what happened in Massachusetts last Tuesday. What does it all mean?

I was glad to see and hear most Republicans in the leadership restrained themselves from doing "end zone" dances. Scott Brown's victory was not a GOP victory by no means.

Most Democrats and still a few die hard Rockefeller Republicans still don't get it. I'm not sure even Scott Brown fully understands it, and perhaps was just as surprised by his success. Mr. Brown apparently didn't follow the sage advice of Republican strategists, who claimed after 2006 that the Party needed to move "left" to win. If anything, his victory debunks that line of thinking.

Brown stated a clear simple conservative message, and won by 5 points in the bluest of blue States. Scott Brown was was speaking his heart, and not campaign rhetoric filled with empty slogans. His best line Tuesday I thought was this..."and let me say this, with respect to those who wish to harm us, I believe that our Constitution and laws exist to protect this nation - they do not grant rights and privileges to enemies in wartime. In dealing with terrorists, our tax dollars should pay for weapons to stop them, not lawyers to defend them". WHAT A GREAT CONCEPT!!!

As Conservatives survey the political landscape, I don't think we collectively are automatically going to pull the GOP lever. We learned the hard way that an "R" by the candidate is no guarantee you're going to get Conservative governance.

I have concerns, as we get into the 2010 campaign season, that Republican candidates like John McCain or Lindsay Graham understand that all is not forgiven. These GOP'ers were largely responsible for the downfall of the Republican Party in 2006 and 2008. Whether it was McCain-Feingold Campaign reform (recently overturned by the SCOTUS), McCain Kennedy Immigration reform, GOP legislation increasing the size of Government and entitlements, all of these things were part of that sad legacy. Compassionate conservatism was the cracked pot that lead to a substantial growth in the Federal Government and associated deficits. How can we easily forget the Bush administration's prosecution of two border agents for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler in the ass, or its failure to secure the border?

We should also mention, that John McCain's wife Cindy is finally "out of the closet", and is now actively campaigning for Gay marriage. This bunch of liberal Republicans must go.
Sarah Palin, who plans to help John McCain campaign for his Senate seat, needs to rethink that strategy. I wish John McCain himself would rethink it. What is it about power that all of these aging Senators refuse to leave office (unless carried out in a casket)? John McCain needs to move aside and make room for a younger Conservative with new ideas. John McCain should step down, and Arizona find another Scott Brown to replace him. Please John, don't run. We don't need you in the Senate.

Likewise, Sarah Palin's plans to campaign for Rick Perry, the incumbent Governor of Texas, also is risky. Perry has problems of his own sticking to a Conservative platform. Sarah should await the outcome of the Republican primary, as a new an upcoming Conservative (Debra Medina) is getting a great deal of attention from the Texas Tea Party movement. Sarah's premature support of Perry may even damage her Conservative credentials.

In any case, much soul searching ahead.

Why Should Iowa Decide...Again?

In the aftermath of the last Presidential election, "some" GOP hopefuls are sniffing around Iowa and New Hampshire. I for one am very tired of this drill. So the question is again, why should Iowa or New Hampshire decide who the nominee should be this time around? By the time the decision gets to the big States (i.e. Texas, or even crazy California), the decision is already made.

I can't stand the thought of another squishy neo-con who campaigns like George Wallace, but votes like George McGovern when he or she gets to Washington. If Micheal Steele is serious about listening to the Tea Party movement, then we need to start thinking about how we are going to keep independents and Democrats from deciding who the nominee is going to be. I'm talking about the foolishness of open primaries. The next primary, every Obama voter is going to vote in GOP primaries to nominate the most repugnant candidate (to Conservatives) in the field. We need a conservative populist, and one not too eager to reach across the aisle to sell out the people who worked so hard to put them in office.

Mitt Romney is an undependable conservative and certainly no populist. Tim Pawlenty is not a populist, and mostly a moderate. Ronald Reagan was a conservative and populist. Mike Huckabee is a conservative and populist. Sarah Palin is a conservative and populist. If we are going to win in 2012, we will need a populist. More importantly, we need a principled conservative.. Iowa should not decide. New Hamphire should not decide. Open primaries need to be closed to Republican voters. Why does the GOP establishment hate conservative populists? Who knows, but when they select big Government moderates like John McCain, they sink like a battleship.

Letterman and Other Enemies of America

As Sarah Palin said, why do rules concerning attacks on children of politicians only apply to liberal politicians? What outrageous hypocrisy. Since when does a 14 or 18 year old girl deserve to be humiliated on national television by liberal comic hack because the 'left' doesn't like her mother's politics?

Lettermen won't be taken off the air by CBS, but that's precisely what I did in my home. Lettermen doesn't exist. In fact, CBS, NBC, and MSNBC doesn't exist. I've completely blocked out these channels.

Conservatives need to do several things in terms of teaching all these anti -American bastards a lesson.

One, don't watch CBS,NBC,ABC, MSNBC programming at all. Let their ratings further plunge finding no sponsorship for their crappy programs.

Two, don't buy Government made, or UAW made automobiles (Chrysler or GM). The UAW subsidizes the DNC, so screw them both. No respectable conservative ought to be driving a car made by any union that heavily donates to the enemy (the socialist DNC).

Three, don't buy GE appliances or products. GE is in the Obama administration's pocket, trying to sell their wind turbines at the expense of higher energy prices (cap and trade). Screw them too. GE is also on board with profiting mightly by supporting socialized medicine. To hell with GE.

Until we put our money where our mouth is, nothing will change. We've got to answer the unfair media coverage and the Government's takeover of private industry with the power of our money. Boycotts work. Use them. An old African saying goes....to whom you give your money is to whom you give your power.

Celebrities and companies that do the Devil's business shouldn't be patronized by God Fearing Americans. Think about it. Its the least you can do. If you don't, you will loose your country to the Socialists that are banging the gates of free markets down at this very moment. Screw them, screw them all.

Media

Perhaps yellow journalism has always been a part of our culture. As I reflected on the press attacks on Sarah Palin by scoundrels in the MSM, I ran across a letter by Robert E. Lee, who was similarly attacked in the press. See the letter below, written in 1866, and his attitude towards media bias.

Lee was eventually vindicated by his reputation, and became a great and respected American Statesman. Its a shame almost 145 years after slander reigned in what was then the MSM during reconstruction, Robert E. Lee has suffered renewed attacks by history revisionist liberals. Likewise, these miscreants similarly attack the memories of George Washington and Harry Truman. As someone once said, "it doesn't take a brave dog to bark at the bones of lions".

We can only hope the truth will eventually emerge victorious, and those who have slandered hero's of our American past will all disappear into the abiss of other "15 minute famers" who no one remembers.

Sarah Palin can take comfort that she is in good company. To draw the fire of low life bottom feeding trolls is a high honor. There really is no freedom of the press, unless you own one.

Your letter of the 5th inst., inclosing a slip from the Baltimore American, has been received. The same statement has been published at the North for several years. The statement is not true; but I have not thought proper to publish a contradiction, being unwilling to be drawn into a newspaper discussion, believing that those who know me would not credit it and those who do not would care nothing about it.

I cannot now depart from the rule I have followed. It is so easy to make accusations against the people at the South upon similar testimony, that those so disposed, should one be refuted, will immediately create another; and thus you would be led into endless controversy.
