Fixing the Inner City

These communities are a perfect storm of Democrat corruption and the complete and utter breakdown of the family structure. Building charter schools and making it easier to get capital to the few brave entrepreneurs willing to open a business in these blighted areas are needed. Somehow empowering churches to rebuild moral family structures in the next generation to head off self destructive behaviors must be done. Also changing welfare policy to not encourage an over 70% out-of-wedlock birthrate is imperative. The Government is actually encouraging and subsidizing women to have as many as six kids from different fathers who are not supporting the family. That is a poverty and crime incubator. Educating people at an early age not to follow these patterns is key (school and media education campaigns). I would say forcing deadbeat dads to pay child support is also an imperative, but a lot of these guys are either in jail or involved in illegal activities themselves. Its a real mess, and until black leaders recognize that the Government cannot fix it alone, little progress will be made. These people are going to have to look deep inside themselves and take control of their own lives.

In the great debates that occurred in each of the 13 Independent Republics, to consider the momentous question of rejection or ratification of the newly proposed Constitution in 1787, there were no small number of great and learned men that vehemently opposed, and warned against, the adoption of that document. History remembers them as the "Antifederalists". In Virginia alone, no less than "the trumpet of the Revolution", Patrick Henry stood opposed. George Mason, who is credited with writing the Virginia Bill of Rights which became the model for the Constitution's, joined him in opposition. It was Richard Henry Lee that first presented to Congress, in June of 1776, the resolution that the thirteen "United Colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States." He too, joined Henry and Mason in principled objection to ratification of the Constitution, as written. As editor Isaac Kramnick states in the introduction to The Federalist Papers, "In state after state, often only a handful of votes separated the pro-Constitution forces and the defeated opponents of the Constitution. In light of the growing centralization and tyranny of the Federal government today, perhaps it is high time we considered some of the arguments of those like Henry who said, "I smell a rat".

DeRosa, in his 1991 "The Confederate Constitution of 1861:An Inquiry into American Constitutionalism", notes that the primary objection of those opposing this new Constitution, lay in its ambiguity concerning the "locus", or place, in which ultimate sovereignty resided. The individual States must press their 10th Admendment rights, or our Republic will perish. Thank God for the brave Arizona and Governor Jan Brewer for resisting the oppressive Federal monster. Hurrah for Arizona! Now, our own Federal capital has joined forces with 13 other foriegn nations to to fight one of our own soveriegn States. This is disgraceful. Progressive Armageddon

The Armageddon coming will contest those who hold that rights are inalienable and the secular progressive statists who insist that no universal truth exists (therefore, it’s amendable). The Progressive line of thinking follows Nietzsche, and believe the force we call evil is simply "man the animal" slowly evolving. Progressivism seeks to remedy man’s state, while progressives themselves are unable to recognize that they, themselves, are the same animal. They run in circles searching for truth. Those that follow them remain confused and directionless.

Progressives have latched on to the idea of race, as they are the premier racists who see everything in terms of race. Race is central to their line of thinking, in terms of man’s state, and what needs to be done to evolve the animal to a higher form of existence. It’s the grand experiment, that defines their politics and activism. In fact, progressives are ”ate up” with race. That is the first thing a progressive will notice about you.

Do you recall when tea parties were organizing; liberal focus was primarily on the tea partier's race, as it defined why “teabaggers” were protesting. This was Chris Matthew's single issue with the Tea Party. When you understand this about progressive liberals, everything they do is predictable. They classify those willing to accept their doctrine as enlightened, those who accept their help as oppressed and evolving, and those who oppose them hatefully bigoted. It is the Conservative who is not the bigot or racist, who expects every person to pick themselves up by their own bootstraps.

If those who are seen as helpless only understood how lowly and inferior progressive liberals benevolently see them, they would break the chain of dependence and stand up for themselves.

GM- A Example of What Happens When Government Runs Industry

GM has finally paid back the TARP bailout. The new CEO, Ed Whitacre , created a TV ad congratulating themselves on their progress. The Gaffe-O-Matic Vice President likewise continued with the happiness reporting. As it turned out, all of this was intended simply to blow sunshine up our ass.

Yes, we've been "had" again by the Obama administration, and its newest acquisition, GM (Government Motors). GM paid the taxpayers back with....are you ready...OUR OWN FREAKING MONEY!! GM took money out of a taxpayer funded escrow account, and paid us back with our own money. They are still operating at a loss, and have no earnings.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. If any Conservative buys a GM car, your doing nothing but subsidizing Socialism. The UAW, which builds these cars, finances the DNC. The DNC has been taken over by Socialists, so any purchase of a GM car goes to that purpose.

I will never buy another GM car. This is a lifetime commitment for me. I will encourage all members of my family and friends to do likewise. The overtaxed US taxpayer will be facing huge deficits for decades to come, and Federal financing of GM is simply throwing good money down a deep and nasty rat hole. Don't ever let the Government convince you again that any business is too big to fail.

The British National Health Service, Coming to America in the Form of Obamacare

The American Medical Association (AMA) who supported, Obama's Healthcare Legislation, surprising represents only 17 percent of doctors in the US. Its like this old episode of "Yes, Minister", a British comedy that makes fun of the inefficiencies of the National Health Service. In this episode, the employees Union doesn't want to close a hospital with no patients (and no doctors) because it employs 500 deadbeat union employees. Welcome to the future of Obamacare.

With centralized control, the Democrat socialists will insure misery is shared by all...the hard working and the indolent. If your over 78 years old or need a hip replacement, you'll get a walker and some pain pills. If you need a heart bypass, you'll get an oxygen tank and nitro. Remember Sarah Palin was talking about death panels....its in the bill the Communist-in-Chief just signed. Yes my friends, some bureaucrat in the National Health Administration will decide based on your age, health, and/or prognosis. The "panel" provides your doctor guidelines as to whether you (and others like you) are worthy of spending additional money to save your life. This is the essence of a socialist, collectivist healthcare system.

The Continuing War for Independence

Its just the start. We are now engaged in a war. A war that started in 1776, and one that will probably never end as long as tyrant's breath.

The United States has survived many perilous times, and incurred damage at every turn. The most significant "change" was during the Southern war for independence. Some in the South called this the second war of independence. The South did not prevail in sustaining the original intent of the American Constitution, of sovereign free States consenting to the limits of Government...as long as Government stayed within those limits.

Americans are not Europeans. We do not like regulation. We do not like restraints. We do not like, and will not tolerate the excess of Government ruling over every detail of our lives for the illusive objective of "common good". Americans know that what is good for each individual is equally good for society. That is uniquely American; a belief that Government is not the master but the servant. Our Founding Fathers deliberately made it difficult to pass laws that effect all States, as they knew of the danger and excess of centralized Government power. Balance of power between three branches is an inefficient form of Government by design. Balance of power, due to those built in inefficiencies preserves freedom by denying absolute power to any tyrant. What endangers that freedom is a Congress and Judiciary that worships the annoited one like an imperial emperior. Once the emperior consolidates power, the allure is much like heroin. Once the tyrant tastes, he's hooked, and it takes blood and revolution to set things right.

The equal branches of Government need to reassert their authority to reestablish the limits of Government. Those limits, or walls, depends on Government branches asserting that authority and maintaining their independence. Likewise States, under the 10th Amendment, must assert their powers to limit the Federal Government. Local Government must in turn limit the power of States. The most power must be centered at the local level, which is closest to to people.

Why is Congress so out of touch with the people? The formulation for country has been tampered with by Progressive Presidents and Congress over our 200 year history. Abraham Lincoln, who centralized Federal authority, thumbed his nose at the Constitution and limits of Federal authority. Since that breach, the power of the Federal Government over States has grown to unmanageable levels.

Its been said by American leaders, to their shame, that America's strength is her diversity. That is the result of years of political correct progressive thinking. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our strength lies with the ideals of one concept....freedom. That I, as an individual, am free to succeed, free to fail, free to love, free to even hate, free to have any opinion or do anything that I please with one caveat....that my freedom doesn't trample the freedom of others. That works until the lawyers come in, and twist words around until they have no meaning at all. In a Democratic society, moral support provided by religion is critical for self Government. The retraints compelled by the All Mighty God, govern our relationships with fellow countrymen. Our first President said the same thing.

This fight for America's heritage will start with debate, but will ultimately end in blood and violence should the Democrat's continue this course. Obama is much like Lincoln, in his desire to be King...recognizing no limits to the power of the Presidency and the Congress. The third war of Indepedence always looms before us.

Met Office statistics reveal that only the winter of 1963 was colder than the temperatures in Scotland between December 2009 and February 2010.

And for northern Scotland it was actually the coldest since records began in 1914.

9-11 Truthers...Idiots Without a Cause

What is it about the independent movement that careens between Constitutional rationality and insanity? Case in point, the 9-11 Truther movement. This is the group of tin foil hatters who believe that the attack of 9-11 was a Government inside job.

This is the foil that destroyed Debra Medina's momentum in the Texas Governor's primary, a promising young conservative women (story below), who tripped over this madness during a Glenn Beck radio interview while responding to a question. When she stated these Truthers may have legit concerns in her answer, she stepped on a political land mine that enervated growing support for her candidancy. What Debra meant to say, was that people in general have the right to question the Government. However, she later recanted and refined the response, a little too late, that the entire Truther proposition that our Government attacked their own citizens was entirely bizarre.

Why do these Truthers, found to inhabit fringe sites run by Alex Jones, persist in their idiotic views? I don't know. Reason does not work with these people, as this seems to be a cult, a religion, and chasing this ridiculous theory is much like Captain Ahab's fixation with Moby Dick. It is a cognitive dissonance, where they complain evidence of Government complicity was its failure to take any action to stop the attack...while in the same breath they bitterly complain about any follow-on measure to stop the next attack (i.e. the Patriot Act). Apparently 9-11 was a Globalist plot to create the excuse to establish martial law in the United States. However, nine years after 9-11...martial law has not been declared. So, did the plot fail?

While Truthers wallow in the insanity of the plot that didn't work, they ignore the socialistic take over of banks, car companies, energy companies (cap and trade), and the entire health care industry. Who needs marshal law, when the Government under the Obama regime is taking over all means of production...in plain sight.

To the Ron Paul Truthers, please take off the tin foil hats....as 9-11 serves a distraction to what the Globalists are really doing right in front of you. Wise up. A Different Kind of Communist Party- Democrat Health Care

Barrack Hussein Obama...mmm...mmm...mmm, has completed his health care summit with the Republicans at Blair House. This was his answer to transparency in Government...finally C-SPAN covering the negotiations. I actually wanted to see his negotiations with the SEIU and UAW. That would have been far more interesting to watch. Now that BO has done his obligatory photo op to create the illusion of bi-partisanship, he is now free to use reconciliation to ram this health care abortion down our throats. I can only hope the arrogance on display during this event will force the American public to kill this bill in the House of Representatives. Get on the phone folks, the Commies are dancing.

Pelosi- A Horrible Women...Said on CNN?

I'm must have missed this...but Cafferty on CNN actually criticized Nancy Pelosi for her December trip to Copenhagen to attend the Global Warming conference. She used three military jets and spent millions in taxpayer money take her friends on a European vacation during the worst recession in many years. Next time Pelosi comments about how much she cares about the American people...I hope they remember this outrage.

Is That Jesus Over There?

A Republican in a wheelchair entered a restaurant one afternoon and asked the waitress for a cup of coffee. The Republican looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus sitting over there?" The waitress nodded "yes, " so the Republican requested that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, on him.

The next patron to come in was a Libertarian with a hunchedback. He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sat down, and asked the waitress for a cup of hot tea. He also glanced across the restaurant and asked, " Is that Jesus over there?" The waitress nodded, so the Libertarian asked her to give Jesus a cup of hot tea, "My treat.

"The third patron to come into the restaurant was a Democrat on crutches. He hobbled over to a booth, sat down and hollered,"Hey there, honey! How's about gettin' me a cold glass of Miller Light?" He, too, looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that God's boy over there?" The waitress once more nodded, so the Democrat directed her to give Jesus a cold glass of beer. "On my bill," he said.

As Jesus got up to leave, he passed by the Republican,touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." TheRepublican felt the strength come back into his legs, got up, and danced a jig out the door.

Replacing Michelle

At the top right hand corner of Page 17 of the New York Post of January 24th,2009, was a short column entitled "Replacing Michelle" in the National Review"The Week" column found this interesting, so here it is, word for word, as it appeared ...... '

Some employees are simply irreplaceable. Take Michelle Obama: The Universityof Chicago Medical center hired her in 2002 to run "programs for community relations, neighborhood outreach, volunteer recruitment, staff diversity and minority contracting." In 2005 the hospital raised her salary from $120,000 to $317,000 - nearly twice what her husband made as a Senator. Oh did we mention that her husband had just become a US Senator? He sure had.. Requested a $1 Million earmark for the UC Medical Center, in fact. Way to network Michelle! But now that Mrs Obama has resigned, the hospital says her position will remain unfilled. How can that be, if the work she did was vital enough to be worth $317,000? We can think of only one explanation: Senator Roland Burris's wife wasn't interested.

We were Democrats once...

I really miss the Democrat Party, before it became such a mess. I actually voted for Jimmy Carter...my first Presidential election. I didn’t know any better. Jimmy looked harmless enough, a Southern religious man, or so I thought. My congressman was none other than Albert Gore. Young and full of hope, the idealism of the party was intoxicating. Al Gore, at that time, was a pro-life blue dog, a Vietnam War veteran, a young man who seemed to possess the values of our region and culture. I met Al Gore several times when he would periodically appear at the Court House for community meetings, and he graciously helped me out a few times . Then, it happened.

Going back to my first mistake….Jimmy Carter. The country was furious at Gerald Ford for the Nixon pardon, at least that was the main thing I heard in my little circle. The Republicans were corrupt, and we needed a change. Sound familiar?

Well folks, we got change. Double digit inflation, double digit interest rates, double digit unemployment, high gas prices, long gas lines, and a major foreign policy disaster in Iran. Then I changed, and joined the Reagan revolution. The Gipper was remarkable communicator, who talked of a shining city on a hill, of small government, and the power of the individual. He confronted evil, and called it as he saw it. I was so taken with this leader; I joined the military to do my small part of fulfilling his vision for this country.

Then, it happened again. Enter stage right, the resurgence of Rockefeller Republicanism with the election of George H. Bush. I voted for him, hoping for the best, but it was a lesser of two evils choice. Then Bob Doyle came along, and I was presented again with an uninspiring lesser of two evils choice. George W. Bush, what can I say? John McCain, I could weep. As for Al Gore, he's not a well man, completely unhinged, wide eyed, and truely frightening to see how the demon that crawed inside his head has ravaged the poor boy. Now where do I go?

As I recall Davy Crockette, in a similar situation, said, "You all may go to hell, I'm going to Texas".
