Letter to a Liberal on the Shutdown

Clean CRs funding parts of the Government are being passed. Yet, Reid and Obama persist in tabling them. The Government was funded entirely except Obamacare from the very beginning. We wouldn't need a CR had Reid's Senate did their job and passed a budget. Reid hasn't passed a budget in five years. With no budget, the House has every right to discern spending priorities..... especially with a 20 trillion dollar debt looming before us.

You may not appreciate or like the idea that a President is not a dictator, such as a Hugo Chavez, demanding legislation from a rubber stamp Congress. Sorry, it doesn't work that way in this country, and never did.

Obama has already waivered or delayed over 1000 provisions of the Obamacare LAW, unconstitutionally. He has no power to legislate, but yet he did. Therefore, you believe the Republican House, which does have constitutional powers to legislate shouldn't have a say on what gets waived in this law? Only Obama has that authority??? No way.

The last Republican proposal was very reasonable, the individual mandate delay for one year, and forcing Congress and their staffs to eat their own cooking by participating in Obamacare. That was voted down by the Reid Senate. This is a Dingy Harry and Hussein Obama shutdown, period.

Article I, Section 7 of the Constitution requires that “all bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives, but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other bills.”

If any money is to be spent on anything, the bill must come out of the House of Representatives. If no bill is approved by that body and sent to the Senate, no money may be spent
So yes, the House does get to pick and choose what it funds

Stop the Denial...This is A Holy War

The ground zero mosque, and other mosques scheduled for construction are the Islamic HQ's to carry on the jihad inside the United States. These buildings are far larger than their Muslim populations could use or support. They are being constructed for the future with foreign money primarily from Wahhabi's in Saudi and Iran.

The irrational liberals, who defend these incursions into the West, will be the first targets once jihadi political dominance is achieved.

There is no freedom where Sharia rules. This is a holy war from the Muslim perspective. They do not want duel state solutions in Palestine or even peaceful coexistence with democracies in the West. Their goal is to bring the entire world under Sharia, if it takes the next 1000 years.

I believe Imam Rauf wants to be the interim World Caliphate, and the successful completion of the GZ Mosque would create the optics of a great Muslim "victory". Although the "victory" was certainly a cowardly one, the completion of this shrine will bring Rauf great prestige and influence in the Muslim "world" he seeks to consolidate power. If you'll observe saw some of the video of Rauf's visits into Muslim countries, you can't help but notice they seem to treat him as royalty.

This entire thing is about Muslim supremacy throughout the world. Nothing else.

We do need to encourage new nationalism in Egypt, Syria, and Iraq. Before Islam turned them dark, they were great civilizations. The people of these countries need to be REMINDED who they were before this Arab cult descended upon them and turned them into third world sh!t holes.

We need Western leaders with the courage to admit what the West is up against, and stop the denial that Islam is a religion in the first instance, and that it wants peace in the the second.

Progressive Armageddon

The Armageddon coming will contest those who hold that rights are inalienable and the secular progressive statists who insist that no universal truth exists (therefore, it’s amendable). The Progressive line of thinking follows Nietzsche, and believe the force we call evil is simply "man the animal" slowly evolving. Progressivism seeks to remedy man’s state, while progressives themselves are unable to recognize that they, themselves, are the same animal. They run in circles searching for truth. Those that follow them remain confused and directionless.

Progressives have latched on to the idea of race, as they are the premier racists who see everything in terms of race. Race is central to their line of thinking, in terms of man’s state, and what needs to be done to evolve the animal to a higher form of existence. It’s the grand experiment, that defines their politics and activism. In fact, progressives are ”ate up” with race. That is the first thing a progressive will notice about you.

Do you recall when tea parties were organizing; liberal focus was primarily on the tea partier's race, as it defined why “teabaggers” were protesting. This was Chris Matthew's single issue with the Tea Party. When you understand this about progressive liberals, everything they do is predictable. They classify those willing to accept their doctrine as enlightened, those who accept their help as oppressed and evolving, and those who oppose them hatefully bigoted. It is the Conservative who is not the bigot or racist, who expects every person to pick themselves up by their own bootstraps.

If those who are seen as helpless only understood how lowly and inferior progressive liberals benevolently see them, they would break the chain of dependence and stand up for themselves.

McCain Should Step Down

I don't know about you, but I'm still recovering and synthesizing what happened in Massachusetts last Tuesday. What does it all mean?

I was glad to see and hear most Republicans in the leadership restrained themselves from doing "end zone" dances. Scott Brown's victory was not a GOP victory by no means.

Most Democrats and still a few die hard Rockefeller Republicans still don't get it. I'm not sure even Scott Brown fully understands it, and perhaps was just as surprised by his success. Mr. Brown apparently didn't follow the sage advice of Republican strategists, who claimed after 2006 that the Party needed to move "left" to win. If anything, his victory debunks that line of thinking.

Brown stated a clear simple conservative message, and won by 5 points in the bluest of blue States. Scott Brown was was speaking his heart, and not campaign rhetoric filled with empty slogans. His best line Tuesday I thought was this..."and let me say this, with respect to those who wish to harm us, I believe that our Constitution and laws exist to protect this nation - they do not grant rights and privileges to enemies in wartime. In dealing with terrorists, our tax dollars should pay for weapons to stop them, not lawyers to defend them". WHAT A GREAT CONCEPT!!!

As Conservatives survey the political landscape, I don't think we collectively are automatically going to pull the GOP lever. We learned the hard way that an "R" by the candidate is no guarantee you're going to get Conservative governance.

I have concerns, as we get into the 2010 campaign season, that Republican candidates like John McCain or Lindsay Graham understand that all is not forgiven. These GOP'ers were largely responsible for the downfall of the Republican Party in 2006 and 2008. Whether it was McCain-Feingold Campaign reform (recently overturned by the SCOTUS), McCain Kennedy Immigration reform, GOP legislation increasing the size of Government and entitlements, all of these things were part of that sad legacy. Compassionate conservatism was the cracked pot that lead to a substantial growth in the Federal Government and associated deficits. How can we easily forget the Bush administration's prosecution of two border agents for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler in the ass, or its failure to secure the border?

We should also mention, that John McCain's wife Cindy is finally "out of the closet", and is now actively campaigning for Gay marriage. This bunch of liberal Republicans must go.
Sarah Palin, who plans to help John McCain campaign for his Senate seat, needs to rethink that strategy. I wish John McCain himself would rethink it. What is it about power that all of these aging Senators refuse to leave office (unless carried out in a casket)? John McCain needs to move aside and make room for a younger Conservative with new ideas. John McCain should step down, and Arizona find another Scott Brown to replace him. Please John, don't run. We don't need you in the Senate.

Likewise, Sarah Palin's plans to campaign for Rick Perry, the incumbent Governor of Texas, also is risky. Perry has problems of his own sticking to a Conservative platform. Sarah should await the outcome of the Republican primary, as a new an upcoming Conservative (Debra Medina) is getting a great deal of attention from the Texas Tea Party movement. Sarah's premature support of Perry may even damage her Conservative credentials.

In any case, much soul searching ahead.

Another Terrorist Attack Under Obama

As Major Hasan at Ft. Hood claimed more American lives, now a Nigerian almost succeeded in destroying another airliner on Christmas day. Socialist Democrats in Congress scramble to make excuses as to why this individual, who was reported by his father, wasn't put on a no-fly list. I've got the answer already. PC=Political Correctness. It was political correctness that allowed Major Hasan total access inside a secure Army post, and it was political correctness that allowed the Nigerian to board an aircraft with a bomb sewn inside his shit stained undershorts.

Its time we start profiling, by identifying most likely suspects and strip searching them before they get aboard commercial airliners. We waste so much time and effort searching our Grandmas and Grandpas while ragheads from Islamic parts of the world walk aboard unmolested. The reason...random searches...its more "fair". I'm sure the Socialist Democrats in Congress will find a way to blame the Bush administration for this latest attack.

Political correctness almost killed over 200 individuals on that plane. Obama sympathizes with the cause of why terrorists want to kill us. Its American arrogance and exceptionalism. His weak feckless soft power approach makes us a much more likely victim. The wolf hunts the lame and weak, not the strong and fierce.

Barack Hussein Obama....mmmm....mmmm.....mmmm. I'm certain as a result of this attack, the answer will be more random searches insuring many more pairs of Grandma undies are cleared of any explosive devices. TSA to the rescue. Do you feel safer?

On the OUTSIDE Looking In

The Gulf Stream jets, Limos, and whores lined up again to pick up the celebrities and dignitaries for the big Climate Change summit in Copenhagen. Caviar wedges and the finest of wine were flowing in generous quantities. You were not invited, but you’ll pick up the check. No expense or carbons were spared to transport, feed, and house these delegates in ‘abject’ luxury. Their concern, and objective, of course is to determine how the rest of us should live. This has never been about “their” hypocritical lifestyle, but how we…the unwashed masses…abuse the planet. In no case to they intend to live by example, but to place restrictions that will ultimately impact jobs and the larger economy. Like our US Congress, they care little about what we want. This is why our elected Representatives charge ahead with Cap and Trade and this abortion of a Health Care bill.
If you are afraid of the excesses and power of a central Federal Government, be very afraid now. President Hussein intends to put the United States under the governance of world bodies that will dictate how the US uses its own resources. You see, Liberals, and especially our President doesn’t believe America is exceptional. They believe we haven’t been a force for good. These are the people you folks put in charge.

Is this the people we’ve now become?

I hope not, because if that’s true the light illuminating the shining city on the hill just went out.

This climate change game is to enrich the ALGOREs and GEs who are counting on benefiting from Cap and Trade and other countries who think America has become too powerful...too exceptional. We must be stopped, and Barack Hussein Obama intends to do it. He said to his allies, "we are who we've been waiting for".

I've been out of town the last couple of weeks and have been unable to post. I've spent a week in Atlanta, then on to Virginia. I'm very excited about the Governor's race. Since BO's inauguration, my optimism is returning. Not to mention the Congressional race in New York...

The Tea Party Movement is making a difference. The country club Republicans better get the hell out of the way. Who are the leaders of the movement....individual patriots all over the country.....WE, THE PEOPLE. Who is echoing their powerful voices....Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh...

If the Conservative candidate in the New York congressional race beats both the liberal Democrat and Liberal Republican, Game ON. With the election a few days away, the latest polling, ala RealClearPolitics.com, shows Hoffman gaining ground. Scozzafava led in late September, with 35% to 28% for Owens and 16% for Hoffman. As Hoffman took support away from Scozzafava, Owens took the lead over her by four to five points in mid-October. Now, with star endorsements from Palin et al, one poll has Hoffman leading with 31%, Owens at 27% and Scozzafava at 20%.

Jimmy F-ing Carter

Will we ever see the last of Jimmy Carter? This babbling idiot, who very much like our current President, benefited from public anger against the incumbent Party to achieve political success. Once again, an unprepared weak politician was launched into the most powerful office in the world by simple fate. In Jimmy's day, it was President Gerald Ford. Gerald, appointed VP by Nixon after Agnew's resignation for corruption, later pardoned Nixon. This obviously created much angst throughout the country (the appearance of quid pro quo). The Jimmy Carter 'Southern Christian' image sold to eradicate Government corruption seemed to be a needed change in the country. Holy Mother Maybelle, what a phucking mistake we made. I made it too. I was in college, my first Presidential election to vote... my only defense was youth and a head full of mush. However, as fate would have it, I paid dearly for my mistake, as did the rest of the country. Is this scenario starting to sound familiar?

After graduation, the double digit inflation, double digit interest rates, unmerciful gas prices and lines, and devastating unemployment had me economically reeling and barely surviving in 1978. Not only was Jimmy Carter's domestic policy the Moby Dick of policy disasters, but his foreign policy was a major Charlie Foxtrot. His failure to support the American friendly Shah of Iran against the Islamic fascist Ayatollah Khomeini lead to the takeover of the American embassy. Held hostage for well over a year, that Embassy crisis put on world display the weak feckless third rate leadership of an American President.

Jimmy's anti-Semitism grows with his age, and his recent book, "Peace, Not Apartheid" is on the Osama Bin Laden best seller list. Yes, our former President's book was recommended reading for terrorists. Osama recently puked that out in a recently released tape. You might say, Jimmy Carter first gave Islamic fascists hope that they could dominate the world.

The similarities of Jimmy Carter foreign and domestic policies to the Obama administration are compelling and perhaps frightening. All that liberalism-socialism means is shared misery for all. My hope and prayer is a new generation will arise and see the danger. Perhaps the recent demonstrations on Washington are just the beginning of a movement to restore the Republic that politicians of both parties have been chipping away at for decades. Term limits, term limits, and term limits will curb corruption in the Government.

In the meantime, I just wish Jimmy Carter would STFU, just STFU, please please please STFU. For the record, I hate Jimmy Carter far worse than Obama....but then again Obama has only been in office a few months. I must admit I'm getting there however.....so call me a racist when Obama achieves equilibrium with Carter. I just don't phucking care what you liberals call me anymore. It just doesn't matter.

Six years ago I wrote a book called Uncle Sam's Plantation . I wrote the book to tell my own story of what I saw living inside the welfare state and my own transformation out of it.I said in that book that indeed there are two Americas -- a poor America on socialism and a wealthy America on capitalism. I talked about government programs like Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Job Opportunities and Basic Skills Training (JOBS), Emergency Assistance to Needy Families with Children (EANF), Section 8 Housing, and Food Stamps.A vast sea of perhaps well-intentioned government programs, all initially set into motion in the 1960s by Democrats, that were going to lift the nation's poor out of poverty.A benevolent Uncle Sam welcomed mostly poor black Americans onto the government plantation. Those who accepted the invitation switched mindsets from "How do I take care of myself?" to "What do I have to do to stay on the plantation?"Instead of solving economic problems, government welfare socialism created monstrous moral and spiritual problems -- the kind of problems that are inevitable when individuals turn responsibility for their lives over to others.The legacy of American socialism is our blighted inner cities, dysfunctional inner city schools, and broken black families.Through God's grace, I found my way out. It was then that I understood what freedom meant and how great this country is.I had the privilege of working on welfare reform in 1996 which was passed by a Republican controlled Congress. I thought we were on the road to moving socialism out of our poor black communities and replacing it with wealth-producing American capitalism. But, incredibly, we are now going in the opposite direction. Instead of poor America on socialism becoming more like rich American on capitalism, rich America on capitalism is becoming like poor America on socialism.Uncle Sam has welcomed our banks onto the plantation and they have said, "Thank you, Suh."Now, instead of thinking about what creative things need to be done to serve customers, they are thinking about what they have to tell Massah in order to get their cash.

There is some kind of irony that this is all happening under our first black president on the 200th anniversary of the birthday of Abraham Lincoln. Worse, socialism seems to be the element of our new young president. And maybe even more troubling, our corporate executives seem happy to move onto the plantation.In an op-Ed on the opinion page of the Washington Post , Mr.Obama is clear that the goal of his trillion dollar spending plan is much more than short term economic stimulus."This plan is more than a prescription for short-term spending -- it's a strategy for America 's long-term growth and opportunity in areas such as renewable energy, health care, and education."Perhaps more incredibly, Obama seems to think that government taking over an economy is a new idea. Or that massive growth in government can take place "with unprecedented transparency and accountability."Yes, sir, we heard it from Jimmy Carter when he created the Department of Energy, the Synfuels Corporation, and the Department of Education.

Or how about the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 -- The War on Poverty -- which President Johnson said "...does not merely expand old programs or improve what is already being done. It charts a new course. It strikes at the causes, not just the consequences of poverty." Trillions of dollars later, black poverty is the same. But black families are not, with triple the incidence of single-parent homes and out-of-wedlock births. It's not complicated. Americans can accept Barack Obama's invitation to move onto the plantation. Or they can choose personal responsibility and freedom.

Does anyone really need to think about what the choice should be? "The trouble with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." TRUER WORDS WERE NEVER SPOKEN !

Conservatism, Isn't it Enough?

I keep hearing from liberals that Americans are turning away from Conservatism. I'm not so sure.

The reason is that I don't think most people under 40 know what Conservatism is anymore. Its been so bastardized by the Rockefeller Republicanism of Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, George H. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush...and last but not least John McCain. Who can wonder, in the past parade of Republican Presidents, we've only been blessed with one Conservative in the White House, Ronald Reagan.

Conservatism was and is the American dream. That everyone owns their own liberty, owns the fruits of their labor, and can build their own life with little or no interference from the Government. Conservatism believes the reason for man's existence is for the good of himself, his family, and his God. Under Conservatism, the moral choice of charity belongs to the Individual.

Compare this to Liberalism, that everyone has a obligation to provide for the greater good, and for that reason Government can own the largess of all production...redistribution for all... regardless of individual contribution. Liberalism believes the reason for man's existence is for the good of society at large. Under Liberalism, the moral choice of charity (renamed social justice by Libs) belongs to Government.

It is very clear to me that once people understand that Conservatism bids them to keep what they earn, who could argue with that other than a blatant Communist? Why wouldn't most hard working people want to keep more of their income to buy things for their family.... rather than hand it over to bureaucrats to spend on social justice programs? If people really understood this, would Liberalism, or just call it what it is...Socialism, stand a chance in America? Isn't liberty, economic liberty, always better than Socialism?

As for me, I choose liberty. I choose. I give freely to those in need, but those who take without asking....they should know "Don't Tread on Me" is tattooed to my heart.

Spring Break

I just returned from a spring break vacation and happened by Marfa Texas. This is becoming another isolated art colony, where ex-hippies seem to congregate to commune with nature. I thought that era was dead forever, but old hippies in graying pony tails suffering from deodorant allergies still walk the earth. New 'baby' hippies are also spawning, so it must be in the gene pool somewhere...that only surfaces under certain conditions (usually during evil Republican administrations-hehe).


I suppose liberal 'hippiedom' is predictably a 'right of passage' for youth to go through a stage of misplaced compassion for the nonworking poor and other unmotivated parasites looking for someone to feed them. Oh yeah, and don't forget 'world peace'. Most eventually grow out of it and learn that feeding the stupid and lazy is like chasing a mirage. They soon learn the more compassion you give, more dependents are created to serve your compassion. The ones that don't learn this end up in San Francisco or places like Marfa. Compassion. of course, should be reserved for the elderly, sick, and youth (the vulnerable), but instead its wasted on the foolish thanks to the hippie (Obama) culture, sigh. Compassion provided to the able bodied welfare queens of our culture, i.e. Octo-Mom, only rewards the giver with more recipient demands, so unfortunately we'll never run out of the indolent or hippies. But I digress.

Two of the most interesting things in Marfa is that was the filming location of the film, 'Giant'. The old Paisano Hotel (pictured above), where all the stars stayed during the filming was recently reopened. Oh yeah, those were the days, before Rock Hudson was outed. Life just seem to be cleaner, when people at least had the good manners to keep their sexual perversions in the closet.

The Hotel Paisano was built in 1930, to accommodate the expected oil boom in that area that never materialized. The Hotel is much like it was during the filming in the fifties, an interesting place to walk through through and stay. They have a great chicken fried steak, but who doesn't in Texas?

The second interesting feature of Marfa is the mysterious "Marfa Lights". East of town, these light orbs appear somewhere over Mitchell flats. Allegedly seen since the 1800's, these things appear as singular orbs or in groups. However, most of those early sighting were attributed to a 1957 article and are primarily legendary. I did see these things, and they were fascinating enough for me to do some additional research. Its likely these lights are actually headlights from a distant roadway (highway 67). They seem to appear after dark or dusk, and become less frequent as traffic volume declines on 67. A UT group did some research, and it seems the light orb movements are predictable based on traffic movements along this highway. It does create an interesting illusion none the less. Much like the illusion that massive spending by the Obama Democrats will help the economy.

Israel on Offense

Once again, into the fray. The predictable world news media criticises Israeli action in Gaza. I wonder if the French would tolerate years of bombardment inside the City of Paris? Maybe they would. The French were very restrained when Muslim rioters tried to burn the city down around them. Probably blamed themselves somehow.

However, the liberal media's claim of Israeli disproportional attacks against Gaza is absolute bullshit. There is no other word that fits.

As President Wilson once claimed, there can be no peace without victory. Someone has to win, and in that circumstance, I prefer it not be the terrorists. Israel is on our side. They're on our team, and we need to remember that even if the liberal media is confused. As Micheal Savage often says, "liberalism is a mental disorder". Liberals would put their own nation's best interest aside for their disgusting ideology.

Such is the symptom in California, where the bankrupt State Legislature would rather cut programs that affect legal residents than illegal aliens. How does one explain that kind of response other than a mental disorder? How is it possible that liberals are more concerned with Gitmo prisoners than showing any compassion for nearly 3000 Americans (and their survivors) that were incinerated in the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and on Flight 93. Even in the horror of 9-11, the liberals blame U.S. policy creating the conditions for that terrorist attack on civilian targets. Some even blame the U.S. Government for launching the attack themselves. It is insanity, there is no other explanation. Their is nothing more toxic and dangerous than liberal thinking. They create messes that the 'grownups' must clean up.

Somewhere, somehow, the sane people of America are going to have to get back in charge. If we don't, the America we grew up in will disappear forever.
