Energy Policy and Terrorism

One thing I can't get out of my head, was the recording of the 911 call from a young women trapped in one of the towers in NY. She was burning to death. I will never forget or forgive this attack, nor loose any memory of who launched it.

This attack represents a monument of political correctness, and feckless US policy over the last 30 years (since the Iranian hostage crisis in the late 70s). As long as we continue to deny that the ideology of Islam is the problem. We need to immediately develop strategies to stop oil rich Islamic republics from funding the expansion and construction of mosques and madrassas that spread this vile ideology all over the world. Major Hassan, the Fort Hood murderer learned the lessons of jihad in the USA.

We need to build nuclear power plants yesterday, clean coal power plants, and move to compressed natural gas to fuel our trucking fleets as quickly as we can. We need to drill everywhere we can off the US coast, in Anwar, everywhere there are domestic supplies of oil. We must make oil less important, and screwing around with wind turbines and solar isn't going to do it. Green energy will not supply enough energy for a modern economy. I would use NASA funding to create a Manhattan type project to develop hydrogen cell technology. We need to get moving.

We must starve the so-called Muslim nations from expanding jihad all over the world with oil profits. We are indeed complicit in spreading this hateful ideology if we don't get a energy policy that makes sense. That is what the West must do, and stop lying to ourselves that this is a benign religion of peace that's been hijacked. Islam IS the problem. We need to ban the immigration of Islamists into the USA as persona's non gratas, just as Nazis and fascists. Enough is enough.

On the OUTSIDE Looking In

The Gulf Stream jets, Limos, and whores lined up again to pick up the celebrities and dignitaries for the big Climate Change summit in Copenhagen. Caviar wedges and the finest of wine were flowing in generous quantities. You were not invited, but you’ll pick up the check. No expense or carbons were spared to transport, feed, and house these delegates in ‘abject’ luxury. Their concern, and objective, of course is to determine how the rest of us should live. This has never been about “their” hypocritical lifestyle, but how we…the unwashed masses…abuse the planet. In no case to they intend to live by example, but to place restrictions that will ultimately impact jobs and the larger economy. Like our US Congress, they care little about what we want. This is why our elected Representatives charge ahead with Cap and Trade and this abortion of a Health Care bill.
If you are afraid of the excesses and power of a central Federal Government, be very afraid now. President Hussein intends to put the United States under the governance of world bodies that will dictate how the US uses its own resources. You see, Liberals, and especially our President doesn’t believe America is exceptional. They believe we haven’t been a force for good. These are the people you folks put in charge.

Is this the people we’ve now become?

I hope not, because if that’s true the light illuminating the shining city on the hill just went out.

This climate change game is to enrich the ALGOREs and GEs who are counting on benefiting from Cap and Trade and other countries who think America has become too powerful...too exceptional. Need I say more. The Bush years on this chart (GRAY) INCLUDE Iraq and Afghanistan spending. The RED are the the OBAMA deficits. Hussein has tripled the deficit projections this year, and will double it in outgoing years. This isn't counting the Health Care debacle the Obamanator is foisting on us. Much more red would have to be added to illustrate that...

We are in big trouble if we don't make some changes in Congress in 2010 folks. Bush's spending was bad enough, but compared to Obama, Bush looks like a genius. Massive inflation is on the way. Inflation is the most insidious tax increase of all, when our dollar will have the purchasing power of the Mexican peso. Add to this mess the potential costs of the Cap and Trade (Crap and Tax) bill, which will make energy, manufacturing, and everything we buy in America cost more.

The $40,000 Economy Car

The cars featured are "the kind of cars the Obama administration has been pushing: small cars with high fuel economy, hybrid technology, “alternative fuel” capability, etc." says Alex Epstein of the Ayn Rand Center, who doesn't see this as the exciting turnaround GM does.
"GM has already gone down a less extreme version of this road — and it proved to be the road to bankruptcy. Induced by irrational government fuel economy laws and union laws to make myriad small, fuel-efficient cars with overpaid union workers, GM lost enormous amounts of money. By contrast, GM and other American automakers made money on larger, safer, more luxurious cars (which could more easily absorb the higher labor costs) including SUVs and Muscle Cars — cars the administration decries".

Government Motors, building overpriced, under powered, UAW built pieces of crap. Lets all sing the Internationale.... The much awaited Chevy Volt comes in at a whooping 40K. Gotta pay Union wages adding,...of course... the Soprano's "skim".

No self respecting conservative should be caught dead or alive in one. If you buy one however, bring an extra long extension cord. Oh by the way....don't you have to plug it into one of those outlet thingies...and aren't those damn things powered by a belching coal fired power plant in many areas of the country?

New Obama Taxes on People Making Less than 250K

1. New proposed taxes on health care benefits. To pay for the insurance of the 40 million of uninsured people (note that 20-25 million) are probably illegal aliens, Obama must raise revenue to pay these costs. There is also an additional cost that is not necessarily measured in dollars, but quality. Once the Government gets involved in the business of providing health care, rationing of resourses will be necessary because resourse are not unlimited. I can't wait to see the reaction of American citizens having to wait in line behind illegal aliens to receive health care (which is happening now in some cases). Perhaps the terrorists at Gitmo, once moved to the US, will have a higher priority for health care than veterans who fought for their country. Who knows what will happen with this radical socialist administration in charge.

2. Additional "Green Energy" taxes. This is a big one. Green energy is not efficient compared to fossil fuels, and you will pay the difference. Expect to see your electric bills to increase 15-40 percent. Especially vulnerable are people who live in areas where coal fired plants are producing their electricity. This will happen as a result of Obama's Cap and Trade proposals. So called green house gas polluting companies will pay more to produce energy. Industries will be 'capped' at certain production levels, and will have to buy additional credits from other 'less polluting' industries to continue operating. You will pay for those credits. Additionally, manufacturers and other industries will pay more for energy, so absolutely everything you buy from clothing, education, groceries, medicine, and gas will cost more. These industries will pass as much as they can to customers just like you. Corporations really don't pay taxes, they pass additional cost (taxes) to you whenever possible. Thats the dirty little secret Democrats don't like to discuss while they rail at the evil corporations. The corporations are really just tax collection agencies.

3. Be prepared (especially at State and Local Level) to see sales taxes, especially on beer, cigarettes, guns, ammo, to rise in addition to the green energy premiums that will added to the purchase price of these products. States will probably have to raise taxes across the board, because higher energy prices will mean the cost of government services will proportionally rise. Police, ambulance, schools, everything will cost more.

4. Fewer deductions on income taxes will mean more will go to the Federal Government.

There is little doubt that with the growth in Government, the Amercan people will have much less money jingling in their pockets. We will reach a point that we can no longer borrow nor sustain the huge deficits Obama is proposing. Few 20 or 30 somethings remember the malaise of the Jimmy Carter years, with double digit interest rates, double digit unemployment, high inflation, high gas prices, energy shortages (gas lines), and the US pressed on every front by our enemies. They are about to get a good taste of what that was like.
