Thought of the Day

Why is it so much more 'holy" for secular humanists to impose their views on religious people? Why don't we do neither, and call this freedom?

Obamacare Revisited

This HHS action is exactly what Obamacare proponents were saying all along (while the Obama regime denied it), that the ACA removes religious liberty. Allowing employers to offer limitations based on their conscience and faith, does not hinder or stop employees from pursuing additional coverage on their own, paying the modest cost themselves, or finding an new employer that covers these things. That status quo hinders no ones liberty. The Obama regime is simply trying to divide the opposition to make it easier to steamroll the remaining few opponents (by giving exceptions to some, but not all). Later in the campaign, they'll continue to destroy individual liberty with this relentless "progressive" socialist grinding wheel.

After religious liberty and the right to self defense is shredded, they'll come after free speech against their political opponents. They're doing it right in the open, and the media is in the tank making the case...i.e.,  that all this is for our "own good".   It is not American, to trust Government.  Our founders didn't, and our system of Government was designed to make it difficult for Government to impose its will on the American people. Please remember, centralizing authority in Washington IS NOT an American idea, but one born of monarchies, dictatorships, and Europeon or Soviet style socialism. A true American is ALWAYs skeptical of Government, and would never increase its power over individual liberty, regardless of any good intention.

Jefferson told us to not speak of good men, but to bind them with the chains of the Constitution. When I say wake up, don't hide in third party movements. To oppose these Marxists, we've got to unite regardless of the differences we have. I'm talking to RINOs in particular, as the establishment Republican's campaign to purge conservatives from party leadership must stop. You must incorporate conservative views as an important part of the platform moving forward. Otherwise, the GOP is nothing but cold poridge.

Obama is a Socialist

Thomas Peterffy grew up in Socialist Hungary, immigrated to the US and became a successful broker. He knows first hand that Socialism robs individuals of their economic liberty and initiative to work and achieve.

The Continuing War for Independence

Its just the start. We are now engaged in a war. A war that started in 1776, and one that will probably never end as long as tyrant's breath.

The United States has survived many perilous times, and incurred damage at every turn. The most significant "change" was during the Southern war for independence. Some in the South called this the second war of independence. The South did not prevail in sustaining the original intent of the American Constitution, of sovereign free States consenting to the limits of Government...as long as Government stayed within those limits.

Americans are not Europeans. We do not like regulation. We do not like restraints. We do not like, and will not tolerate the excess of Government ruling over every detail of our lives for the illusive objective of "common good". Americans know that what is good for each individual is equally good for society. That is uniquely American; a belief that Government is not the master but the servant. Our Founding Fathers deliberately made it difficult to pass laws that effect all States, as they knew of the danger and excess of centralized Government power. Balance of power between three branches is an inefficient form of Government by design. Balance of power, due to those built in inefficiencies preserves freedom by denying absolute power to any tyrant. What endangers that freedom is a Congress and Judiciary that worships the annoited one like an imperial emperior. Once the emperior consolidates power, the allure is much like heroin. Once the tyrant tastes, he's hooked, and it takes blood and revolution to set things right.

The equal branches of Government need to reassert their authority to reestablish the limits of Government. Those limits, or walls, depends on Government branches asserting that authority and maintaining their independence. Likewise States, under the 10th Amendment, must assert their powers to limit the Federal Government. Local Government must in turn limit the power of States. The most power must be centered at the local level, which is closest to to people.

Why is Congress so out of touch with the people? The formulation for country has been tampered with by Progressive Presidents and Congress over our 200 year history. Abraham Lincoln, who centralized Federal authority, thumbed his nose at the Constitution and limits of Federal authority. Since that breach, the power of the Federal Government over States has grown to unmanageable levels.

Its been said by American leaders, to their shame, that America's strength is her diversity. That is the result of years of political correct progressive thinking. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our strength lies with the ideals of one concept....freedom. That I, as an individual, am free to succeed, free to fail, free to love, free to even hate, free to have any opinion or do anything that I please with one caveat....that my freedom doesn't trample the freedom of others. That works until the lawyers come in, and twist words around until they have no meaning at all. In a Democratic society, moral support provided by religion is critical for self Government. The retraints compelled by the All Mighty God, govern our relationships with fellow countrymen. Our first President said the same thing.

This fight for America's heritage will start with debate, but will ultimately end in blood and violence should the Democrat's continue this course. Obama is much like Lincoln, in his desire to be King...recognizing no limits to the power of the Presidency and the Congress. The third war of Indepedence always looms before us.

Gingrich-Better Than I Have Ever Seen Him. I call this the "To Arms" speech.

This is a very inspiring speech. Although the starts a little slow, it has a powerful conclusion. No matter how you feel about the Newt, you cannot help but get a large lump in your throat from listening to what I think is the best I've ever heard out of the former Speaker.

Will Massachussetts Host Their Second Tea Party in Our History?

Like most, I never would have imagined that a special election in the very liberal State of Massachusetts would decide whether the Government takeover of Health Care succeeds. If Brown wins, there can be no doubt God in Heaven continues to shine his Devine Providence over the American Nation. The most desperate time in American history, especially the winter of 1777, Washington by the hand of God escaped across the Delaware. His Army, and the American dream of independence, barely avoided a final and crushing defeat. Now Massachusetts, most unexpectedly, might lead us back.

EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT OF THE FIRST BOSTON TEA PARTY.....

George Hewes was a member of the band of "Indians" that boarded the tea ships that evening. His recollection of the event was published some years later. We join his story as the group makes its way to the tea-laden ships:

"It was now evening, and I immediately dressed myself in the costume of an Indian, equipped with a small hatchet, which I and my associates denominated the tomahawk, with which, and a club, after having painted my face and hands with coal dust in the shop of a blacksmith, I repaired to Griffin's wharf, where the ships lay that contained the tea. When I first appeared in the street after being thus disguised, I fell in with many who were dressed, equipped and painted as I was, and who fell in with me and marched in order to the place of our destination.

The Boston Tea Party

When we arrived at the wharf, there were three of our number who assumed an authority to direct our operations, to which we readily submitted. They divided us into three parties, for the purpose of boarding the three ships which contained the tea at the same time. The name of him who commanded the division to which I was assigned was Leonard Pitt. The names of the other commanders I never knew. We were immediately ordered by the respective commanders to board all the ships at the same time, which we promptly obeyed. The commander of the division to which I belonged, as soon as we were on board the ship, appointed me boatswain, and ordered me to go to the captain and demand of him the keys to the hatches and a dozen candles. I made the demand accordingly, and the captain promptly replied, and delivered the articles; but requested me at the same time to do no damage to the ship or rigging. We then were ordered by our commander to open the hatches and take out all the chests of tea and throw them overboard, and we immediately proceeded to execute his orders, first cutting and splitting the chests with our tomahawks, so as thoroughly to expose them to the effects of the water.

In about three hours from the time we went on board, we had thus broken and thrown overboard every tea chest to be found in the ship, while those in the other ships were disposing of the tea in the same way, at the same time. We were surrounded by British armed ships, but no attempt was made to resist us.

...The next morning, after we had cleared the ships of the tea, it was discovered that very considerable quantities of it were floating upon the surface of the water; and to prevent the possibility of any of its being saved for use, a number of small boats were manned by sailors and citizens, who rowed them into those parts of the harbor wherever the tea was visible, and by beating it with oars and paddles so thoroughly drenched it as to render its entire destruction inevitable."

Now, if Massachusetts could discover again the ability to resist the unfairness the Democrats have unleashed....crafting legislation without open representation. Criminals do their work behind closed doors as well.

Judeo Christian Choice

I've been doing some thinking about our Judeo Christian heritage, and all that's at risk with the rise of secular humanism.

As incredible question as it might be to raise.... especially during the Christmas season... but have you considered that the freedom to "hate" is the only thing that will sustain the freedom to love? Take for example secular humanist liberals favorite subject, hate crime legislation. Hate crime legislation limits choice to hold certain beliefs and will eventually become the chain that binds any freedom of thought. Without the Judeo-Christian world view, secular humanist authority becomes the supreme arbiter of what hate is or is not. By having no supreme arbitor (God), secular humanists will decide for us.

We see examples of this bubbling up in science and culture already. To have a different opinion about evolution, climate change, or homosexual marriage are the best examples. Advocates of contrary points of view are labeled flat earthers, deniers, haters, or homophobes. Secularists don't allow or tolerate disagreement. Careers are ruined, reputations destroyed, or lawsuits launched for expressing points of view contrary to the secular humanist definition of "settled" science or moral relativity.

Hate crime legislation already legislates thought, and increases the punishment of the criminal based on what the criminal was thinking when he or she committed the crime. This of course destroys the concept of equal protection under the law. Beware, once the secular humanist becomes the supreme arbiter of relative morality, then they decide all.

Without the Judeo-Christian world view, there will no longer be freewill or choice. All views contrary to the secular humanist view will be regarded as hate, and those views will eventually be made illegal. That's the brave new world we are creating if we don't turn back quickly to our Christian heritage.

In the Declaration of Independence, we proclaimed we had inalienable rights (God Given). We cannot allow secular humanists to declare there is no God in the founding of this country. Without unalienable rights...the State decides. Do you see the danger now?

The THIRD War of Independence...coming up.

We need such a pep talk in these times....as the first battle begins in the Third War of Independence. May the spirit of the First Brigade rise again in the hearts of their sons and daughters. You are, the FIRST BRIGADE...
