Palin's description of the events of Paul Revere's midnight ride was perfectly correct. Let the historical record speak for itself:

I told him. it was Revere, he asked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up. He imediately rode towards those who stoppd us, when all five of them came down upon a full gallop; one of them, whom I afterwards found to be Major Mitchel, of the 5th Regiment, Clapped his pistol to my head, called me by name, & told me he was going to ask me some questions, & if I did not give him true answers, he would blow my brains out. He then asked me similar questions to those above. He then orderd me to mount my Horse, after searching me for arms.

The Continuing War for Independence

Its just the start. We are now engaged in a war. A war that started in 1776, and one that will probably never end as long as tyrant's breath.

The United States has survived many perilous times, and incurred damage at every turn. The most significant "change" was during the Southern war for independence. Some in the South called this the second war of independence. The South did not prevail in sustaining the original intent of the American Constitution, of sovereign free States consenting to the limits of Government...as long as Government stayed within those limits.

Americans are not Europeans. We do not like regulation. We do not like restraints. We do not like, and will not tolerate the excess of Government ruling over every detail of our lives for the illusive objective of "common good". Americans know that what is good for each individual is equally good for society. That is uniquely American; a belief that Government is not the master but the servant. Our Founding Fathers deliberately made it difficult to pass laws that effect all States, as they knew of the danger and excess of centralized Government power. Balance of power between three branches is an inefficient form of Government by design. Balance of power, due to those built in inefficiencies preserves freedom by denying absolute power to any tyrant. What endangers that freedom is a Congress and Judiciary that worships the annoited one like an imperial emperior. Once the emperior consolidates power, the allure is much like heroin. Once the tyrant tastes, he's hooked, and it takes blood and revolution to set things right.

The equal branches of Government need to reassert their authority to reestablish the limits of Government. Those limits, or walls, depends on Government branches asserting that authority and maintaining their independence. Likewise States, under the 10th Amendment, must assert their powers to limit the Federal Government. Local Government must in turn limit the power of States. The most power must be centered at the local level, which is closest to to people.

Why is Congress so out of touch with the people? The formulation for country has been tampered with by Progressive Presidents and Congress over our 200 year history. Abraham Lincoln, who centralized Federal authority, thumbed his nose at the Constitution and limits of Federal authority. Since that breach, the power of the Federal Government over States has grown to unmanageable levels.

Its been said by American leaders, to their shame, that America's strength is her diversity. That is the result of years of political correct progressive thinking. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our strength lies with the ideals of one concept....freedom. That I, as an individual, am free to succeed, free to fail, free to love, free to even hate, free to have any opinion or do anything that I please with one caveat....that my freedom doesn't trample the freedom of others. That works until the lawyers come in, and twist words around until they have no meaning at all. In a Democratic society, moral support provided by religion is critical for self Government. The retraints compelled by the All Mighty God, govern our relationships with fellow countrymen. Our first President said the same thing.

This fight for America's heritage will start with debate, but will ultimately end in blood and violence should the Democrat's continue this course. Obama is much like Lincoln, in his desire to be King...recognizing no limits to the power of the Presidency and the Congress. The third war of Indepedence always looms before us.

Politics Chicago Style

The terrorist trials in NY are designed for one purpose, to put the Bush administration on trial. The terrorist's attorneys will issue subpoenas to Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, and even perhaps former President George W. Bush. Here is the opportunity to put the entire administration on trial. The intent at the very least would be to embarrass all former Bush advisers and cabinet members, perhaps to force them to claim 5th Amendment rights to avoid disclosing sensitive information. This is Chicago style politics. Additionally, this gives the terrorists themselves a platform to eviscerate the USA for their own purposes.

I am no fan of Rumsfeld or Cheney, but this is outragious. Giving our precious Constitutional rights to foreign terrorists picked up on a foreign battlefields is insane. Keep Gitmo. Use military tribunals. No sane person believes that closure of Gitmo will have any impact on how terrorists or people in the middle east consider America. Only the weak and feckless Europeans are impressed by our unilateral disarment. Only the Europeans adore how we self despise our own National heritage. Piss on them. Piss on the liberals who accomodate them.

I love America. I love the idea of America. I want America to be a strong vital force for good. I think there is no other place like America, and has saved the World from its own foolishness several times...God Bless America.

Yes he can, and yes they did. If you have kids in school, you better start paying attention to the curriculum, the textbooks, and the political affiliations of the teachers. Interposition Doctrine- The Rebirth of States Rights

Interposition, in the context of the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions, refers to an asserted right of U.S. states to protect their individual interests from federal violation or any abridgement of states' rights deemed by those states to be dangerous or unconstitutional. In the words of the Virginia Resolution of 1798,

That this Assembly doth explicitly and peremptorily declare, that it views the powers of the federal government, as resulting from the compact, to which the states are parties; as limited by the plain sense and intention of the instrument constituting the compact; as no further valid that they are authorized by the grants enumerated in that compact; and that in case of a deliberate, palpable, and dangerous exercise of other powers, not granted by the said compact, the states who are parties thereto, have the right, and are in duty bound, to interpose for arresting the progress of the evil, and for maintaining within their respective limits, the authorities, rights and liberties appertaining to them.

By this statement, Madison asserts that state bodies are "duty bound to interpose" or stand between federal encroachment on the rights of a sovereign state. The procedural legal details of how this interposition is enacted is not explicit. The Virginia Resolution thus provides what is sometimes considered to be the more tempered Madisonian view to Jefferson's Kentucky Resolution that calls for nullification of federal laws. It is often used in conjunction with nullification, which is said by its advocates to give states the right to nullify, or invalidate, any federal law which that the state has deemed unconstitutional.

Debra Medina, Republican, is running for Governor of Texas. When asked about how she might help preserve 10th Amendment powers of the State, she mentioned potential use of the Interposition Doctrine. This is a fascinating prospect. Perhaps Texas, under her able leadership can lead the way in showing other States how to nullify the craziness of the Congress and the Supreme Court. States need to reassert their powers, and something more drastic has to be done. Washington is not listening to us, and the Interposition Doctrine is a tool that can potentially be used to dial back the Washington DC power grab.

Obama in the Garden of Eden

Will Obama ever stop campaigning? Apparently, he doesn't know difference between campaigning and governing. Many independents hired him to fix the economy, not what he is apparently doing. Obama has managed to triple the deficit while incredibly continuing to blame Bush for the disastrous affects of his own policies (which are currently launching USA red ink into orbit). He passed a massive spending bill that no one in Congress had time to read. If they had read it, they would know all the spending in that bill only grows Government and not jobs. That’s the fatal flaw of Socialism, as it consumes money (wealth) and produces nothing in return. Gradually, due to high taxes, the wealth producers become unmotivated to produce, and the entire system goes bankrupt. One only has to look at California or Michigan to understand what high taxes and big government does to an economy. Government spending for government only transfers the same poor dollar from one pocket to another without adding one cent of value. We’ll pass the same poor old worn out dollar around and around and around and around until it gradually disintegrates. It cannot be used to build or grow another job. Big government, once started, is almost impossible to stop. The reason is simple. Big Government hires most of the voters. Once you hire voters, it’s impossible to reduce growth in Government because the hired ‘voters’ will not risk loosing raises or jobs. Therefore, hired voters will only support politicians that protect their Government jobs. For example, where I live its almost impossible to stop school district spending. The reason is the school system is the largest employer in the county. Every time a bond measure is voted on to build new, and sometimes unneeded facilities, those hired voters and their families turn out in droves to pass the measure. The result, our taxes go up, and up, and up. My only defense is to move out of the county. If enough of us do so, the school budget collapses.

The Soviets were absolutely terrified to move to a capitalistic system, as they had a guaranteed job, a guaranteed health care system, and a guaranteed pension. It really didn’t matter how poor the job was, how sorry the health care was, or even how rotten the pension. That’s why Socialist systems have to collapse under their own weight, as people will cling to a government provided peanut butter sandwich instead of working for a steak. Gradually, even the high and mighty Government runs out of peanut butter. I’ve seen that phenomenon time and time again. Apparently, some people fear both failure and success. Americans have always been unique in that respect, in that we are skeptical of government, and want minimal Government interference. Anyone who wants Government to run their life is not a true American. I fear that as our borders are flooded by immigrants who come here to reap economic reward rather than relief from Government oppression, the numbers of Socialists will eventually overpower freedom seeking Americans.

Government dependence, once it takes root, is a terrible thing. Even today, we see the destruction of LBJ’s Great Society affect on the black community. A system that herded them into ghettos, rewarded them for not working, rewarded them for having children out of wedlock, and permanent creating an entitlement mindset and Government dependence. Although they have been the objects of discrimination, that alone cannot explain or excuse the entire breakdown of the black family and its moral culture.

We cannot wait around for the Government to do something for us, but must take action ourselves. Only by doing so will provide greater power and prosperity. Government dependence is the hemlock Obama is wants us all to drink. The President is like the serpent in the Garden of Eden, tempting us to eat of this socialist fruit. In the name of all that’s Holy, do not take a bite, lest capitalism and free enterprise die forever in America.

Liberalism and government growth cannot produce wealth. As Margaret Thatcher stated, the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money. Case in point is California, the ‘IOU’ State. They have already run out of ‘other peoples’ money. As this State considers its future, it doesn’t look rosy.

Unfortunately, liberals forget one key ingredient that makes Government programs possible. Someone, in the food chain has to deliver the goods, so non-productive parasites can feed. If no one finds it worth the effort to work, no one will. The Soviets used to joke, “They pretend to pay us, and we pretend to work”. Production and productivity under socialism collapses, and the nation state of birdies peeping for their government provided worm are no longer fed. In California, the mommy birds are leaving the nest....avoiding a very hostile business climate.

Good luck Californians, in that you may end up digging for your own worms. The Governator will more than likely wing his way to Washington.... looking for big, fat, green, worms to feed all the Collyfornia peepers (if they can find anything left). Its going to be a cold winter.

History Repeating Itself...

In the late 1850's, The tendency toward a greater national power worried practical Southerners who, like Alexander H. Stephens, of Georgia, thought the strong government an instrument for sectional exploitation.

"All that we ask of you is - keep your hands out of our pockets," said Stephens.

I bought a house and am forced to to pay the Government (rent) for the right to continue to live in it. I work 4 months of the year to pay tribute to the Government for the reward of staying out of jail. I wish there were better words to stir people to action, but I don't have them. If we do not restore opposition in 2010 to the Socialist Government of Hussein Obama, we will face civil strife and violence like never before. This is like a nightmare, and it sometimes seems that I'm the only one awake. Forget the Constitution and the separation of powers, its now the courts job to write law. The Republican Senators, Cornyn, Hutchinson, Hatch, all seem soft on stopping this nomination. We should not have much hope that our RINO heros will rise to the occasion. Remember this....the violent street gang Mara Salvatrucha issued orders from federal prison to teach the Minutemen a lesson they will not forget.....then...President Bush called the Minute Men right wing extremists. Attorney General Gonzales, a member of La Raza, sought prosecution of the two 'border guards for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler in the ass. It was the GOP during the Bush administration which supported corporate interests for cheap labor pouring across the border. RINOs are just as interested in Mexican illegal votes as the Democrats. They all make me sick.

I am finally outraged out with the Obama administration, and I need a break. Its just one thing after another, and I can't sustain the level objections against absolutely everything this Kenyan is doing.
Unless the good people of the country don't finally get off their collective asses and join the fight, the ones that are doing all the fighting while the rest watch from the back benches are running out of steam. Its showtime. If you want to save your country, you're finally going to have to get off the couch and do something yourself.
In the name of what our forefathers gave up to give us the greatest Republic on the face of the Earth, its time to join the fight or perish.

GOP DENIAL TOUR

Put this in the category of elitist Republicans who have been drinking their own bath water so long, they no longer understand the principals that move voters in America. I think the GOP should call it the denial tour, not the listening tour. They already have determined what the answer is, so they're just going out to get some feedback to assure them of conclusions they've already reached. How many of us really expect them to emerge with the right answer?

Jeb Bush, if your listening, here are just a few pointers.

1. Americans do not like exercises in Nation building. We don't want to be embroiled in foreign wars ever. Your brother, hastily involved us in Iraq, then refused to change strategy when everyone (except the Bush administration) realized it wasn't working. While the insurgency continued to grow, the Bush administration continued to stick with the Rumsfeld and Cheney "stay the course" line. The Republicans destroyed their reputation, and got many more American troops unnecessarily killed by failing to realize that higher force levels were needed in the theater. Additionally, a General, not a American civilian administrator (Bremer) was needed to respond to the deteriorating situation. It was also here, the American people found out that the Bush administration had absolutely NO PLAN to respond to this contingency, while many analysts had handed it the possibility that this kind of scenario might unfold. The Bush administration continued to stay the course, and we got our butts kicked. Lesson number 1, Americans don't like to loose wars.

Note: Its interesting to also point out, that had Bush replaced Rumsfeld 6 months before the 2006 midterms instead of the day after the election, he might have been able to save the House or Senate. President Bush himself said he waited to replace Rummy (after the election) because he didn't want such a move to look political. WTF?

2. Conservatives and independents expect Republicans to reduce spending and Government, not grow either. The Bush administration, even if one sets aside the cost of the Iraqi war, grew government and spent more than LBJ domestically. From farm and transportation bills, to passing medicare drug prescription, Bush irresponsibly spent, and spent, and spent. Conservatives don't like big spenders. All this spending tarnished the Republican brand, and allowed even F'in Barack Hussein Obama to step to the RIGHT of John McCain on tax cuts and fiscal responsibility. Bush and the Republicans were so bad on this point the unwashed masses bought it hook, line, and sinker. Third parties gained strength, and enervated support for a left bending John McCain.

3. Primaries need to be CLOSED to Republicans only. If you allow Democrats select your candidate again, you will loose again.

4. Here is the most important point. Republicans don't need to move left to win the next election. The failure of John McCain ought to be a teaching moment for the GOP. Continued leftward drifting will further fracture the conservative base, libertarians, and independents, and you'll win nothing. The right of center public doesn't want a choice between blue and light blue.

For the members of the Listening tour...if your really listening, wise up. If your not, then go ahead and promote another big government Rockefeller Republican and see what happens. Continue to invoke the names of the socialist Teddy Roosevelt and federal power tyrant Abraham Lincoln and see what happens. Leave the era of Reagan behind, and just fricken see what happens.

Reflection on the Obama Amature Hour Presidency

One thing stands out about our new Socialist President is his lack of understanding of what it means to show public affection for the worlds worst dictators. Its called propaganda. Each thug, who manages to use stories or pictures of the President of the United States shaking hands, or deeply bowing, destroys the morale of the opposition movements within those wretched countries. In every country, there is an oppressed opposition hiding, serving time in shit hole prisons, or fighting the dictators henchmen. Even worse for some of them...lying in mass graves, or waiting to be thrown into one. It is absolutely heart wrenching for these opposition groups to see the leader of the free world receiving gifts and handshaking with the thug dictator that is oppressing them.

When asked by the press, Obama said that he didn't see how the United States strategic interests were hurt by shaking the hand of Hugo Chavez. You see, he just doesn't get it. Everything the leader of the free world does has consequences, Mr. President. I hope we won't be calling you that for very long, God help us.

Muslims are most likely among some religious groups in the United States to approve of the job performance of President Barack Obama, according to a Gallup poll released today.

About 85% of Muslims approve of Obama’s job performance, followed by 79% of Jews, 73% of those with no religious affiliation, 67% of Catholics, 58% of Protestants, and 45% of Mormons, according to the poll results.

Apparently, unborn children haven't got a prayer, as I was surprised to see the strong support in the Catholic community for such a pro-abortion baby killing President. And... I don't think it was a real big surprise as to which religious group lended Obama the most support, hmmm?

Hate Crime Legislation

Hate crimes are simply unconstitutional. I frankly don't understand liberals fascination with them. It is a corruption of the legal system by introducing political correctness to determine or affect criminal sentences. Under our Constitution, we all have equal protection, meaning, the law cannot distinguish between different classes of people. The fundamental flaw with hate crime legislation is that favors one class of people over another.

If a crime is perpetrated against a homosexual person, for example, why would the law punish that crime more severely than the same assault again a heterosexual individual? This is unconstitutional, as it clearly discriminates against heterosexual persons or non-minority victims. The law, and our guarantee of equal protection can not value one person above another. Liberals ought to object, but they don't.

I would beg every fair minded individual contact their Congressman or Senator and encourage them to vote against the current legislation speeding towards BO's desk. Hate crime legislation is unconstitutional and unnecessary.
The murderers of Mathew Sheppard are serving life sentences without the possibility of parole in Wyoming. Hate crime legislation wasn't necessary to deliver justice. The current law is sufficient.

I also did some checking into FBI data, and of the 16,000 murders committed in the US, only .02 percent were even related to gender related crime. In fact, Whites are far more likely to be a victim of a crime committed by a member of another race than the other way around. This legislation is about political correctness, and has no basis in reality. It must be stopped.

It seems socialist leaders and BO are discovering that they agree more than disagree on areas of foreign policy and governance. The United States is a terrorist, imperialistic State that deserves its comeuppances. Yes BO, we are so sorry for being the exceptional, great capitalistic power we are.... that provided more resources and money to the worlds poor than any nation on Earth. Not to mention, taking the lead in removing international bad guys and restoring rightful Governments. Yes, we are so damn sorry. Perhaps BO is right, America shouldn't lead, and let the world lead us. Europe, leading in the 20th century, brought us two world wars. Yes.
